Protecting women's reproductive rights in Horry County so women can make their own decisions regarding care for their bodies. I also want to help address the homeless population in my district by opening more shelters, helping people find resources to help address their needs.
We need to ensure our growing area can accommodate our population, however the growth in this area is quickly outpacing our infrastructure. I want our area to look at investing in keeping development of new land low in order to protect our natural habitats by building creative solutions to road projects and transportation initiatives. With technology today we can look at ideas that challenge the status quo in regards to road building. Overhead rail system, over highway pedestrian walkways, and building road extensions utilizing above traffic overpasses.
It's time for universal health care in the USA, we are underdeveloped when it comes to access to healthcare for our citizens. A healthy society where the people can access the care they need helps build a stronger society by keeping people able to work and contribute. We need to evaluate how the taxes on the largest earners business and private can be changed so we can make sure that the ultra rich pay their fair share and contribute. Earners that have multiple non residency homes that do not inhabit those homes for more than 1 month out of the year should contribute to higher tax rates.
