My top priorities are rural economic growth, affordable housing and community stability, healthcare access and community wellness, and strengthening community safety and infrastructure across District 57. I support investing in farmers, agricultural communities, small businesses, workforce development, and entrepreneurship to create stronger rural economies. I also believe families deserve safe and affordable housing, improved infrastructure, and stable communities. Healthcare access remains a major concern, especially in rural areas where many residents face barriers to affordable care and mental health resources. I also believe communities thrive when schools are supported, roads are maintained, and families feel safe.
I believe infrastructure and environmental responsibility should work together, not against one another. South Carolina’s communities need safe roads, reliable water systems, improved drainage, broadband access, and responsible development, especially in rural areas that are often overlooked. At the same time, we must protect our natural resources, farmland, waterways, and communities from avoidable environmental harm. I support responsible planning that considers long-term community impact, public safety, sustainability, and economic growth together. As someone from a rural community, I understand the importance of preserving the land while also creating opportunities for growth and infrastructure improvements.
I would work to strengthen partnerships between healthcare providers, nonprofits, schools, and community organizations to expand access to healthcare and family support services across South Carolina, especially in rural and underserved communities. I would support efforts to address healthcare provider shortages, improve transportation access to medical care, and increase access to mental health and preventive services. I also believe state funding and resources should be directed toward communities with the greatest healthcare and family support needs. Strengthening collaboration, expanding access, and improving community-based support systems can help create healthier and more stable communities across South Carolina.
