Ensuring court policies and procedures create efficiencies while maintaining access to justice.
Prior to taking the bench I was in private practice for fifteen years practicing in the area of civil litigation. I was appointed in 2017 and took the bench in 2018. I have presided over many civil and criminal trials during my time on the bench.
As a judge, my role is to follow the laws enacted by the legislative branch.
The judicial branch is continually examining ways to ensure access to justice for all. There are a variety of committees in place that examine these and other issues. I am happy to work with other judges on these committees to ensure continued access to justice.
