My top priority is working on affordability. Our current legislators have failed us on this. I will work to end the “family tax” and provide all North Dakota students with school meals. We also need the state to continue to invest in Northwest North Dakota. We are the economic engine of the state and we don't always see the money returning to us. It is vital for continued growth.
I think that we need to ensure that all North Dakotans has access to affordable insurance that is through an employer, the ACA marketplace or Medicare/Medicaid. This will help to keep costs down and help providers cover their costs. We need to work to keep medication cost low. This will help people to afford their medications. We also need to keep our rural hospitals, clinics and nursing homes open. Keeping them open will insure the health of our communities.
I think that we need to build affordable housing in this state. We need to incentivize builders and developers to build affordable housing. We can also use the Bank of North Dakota to offer loans to North Dakotans that can help them achieve their dream of homeownership.
I think that no public money should be going to non-public education. In the North Dakota Constitution, it clearly states that the state is responsible for public education. Giving that money away would be stealing from future generations and would damage our great education system. I benefited from public education, and I want to pay it forward. I am very opposed to this. If people want to send their children to a non-public school, they can pay for it themselves.
In North Dakota, we have very good methods of voting. We offer same day, early and absentee voting. Since we do not have voter registration, we have to require an ID to vote. I am concerned with mail-in voting due to the decline of the USPS. This is concerning as there are counties in North Dakota that entirely vote by mail. We need to work with the USPS to ensure that properly cast votes will be postmarked in time to be counted.
There is always a fight between the Federal government and the States. I think that an area that is deeply concerning is the attempt to suppress votes across the country by the Federal government. States are fully capable of running their elections, we do not need federal oversight. In North Dakota, our elections are fully safe and secure. This is an attempt to influence local elections and disenfranchise voters. This is a blatant attack on the rights of the voter.

My priorities focus on keeping the promise of North Dakota. As a Fire Chief and father, I am dedicated to strengthening public safety and EMS systems through sustainable funding. I will defend the Williston Basin’s energy industry, advocate for family law reforms that support parents and children, and champion fiscal responsibility. I will fight for a limited government that respects taxpayers and ensures District 23 continues to lead from a position of strength.
Affordability requires working with healthcare providers to find local solutions that put patients first. I support the principles of HB 1473, which sought to protect the 340B drug program for our rural hospitals and families. Although a federal court recently struck it down, the need to keep our clinics and medications accessible remains an urgent priority. I will collaborate with medical leaders to craft constitutional policies that lower cost
Addressing our housing needs starts with meaningful property tax relief to make homeownership more affordable for families and seniors. High taxes shouldn't stand in the way of the North Dakota dream. I will fight to cut the bureaucratic red tape that inflates construction costs and support market-driven solutions to increase supply. By reducing the tax burden and promoting fiscal responsibility, we can ensure District 23 remains an affordable and thriving place to raise a family.
As a father, I believe our public schools are the backbone of our community and deserve our unwavering support. While I value educational freedom, choosing an alternative service should not mean taxpayers foot the bill. My priority is to ensure public funds are used responsibly to strengthen the system that serves all families in District 23. By focusing on fiscal discipline and local control, we provide the best foundation for North Dakota’s next generation.
I believe North Dakota has the most accessible and secure elections in the country, and I fully support our current system. I value integrity and efficiency in our public processes. Our state sets the national standard for protecting every legal vote while ensuring all citizens have convenient access to the ballot. I am committed to maintaining these high standards so that District 23 voters can trust that our elections remain transparent and secure.
Currently, we see a major imbalance as DC overreach targets our energy industry and burdens our families with mandates. I believe local control is essential for North Dakota to thrive. I will work to ensure North Dakotans, not federal bureaucrats, are making the decisions that affect our lives and our livelihoods.

To empower the great people of Northwest North Dakota for a bright and prosperous future. With a partnership between the community and the State of North Dakota, we need to build a path that includes housing affordability, excellent education, and a thriving community.
We need to build a healthcare system that is grounded in a well-developed, thriving community. North Dakota needs to make investments in the Williston and Trenton areas to support that healthy community.
The Williston and Trenton areas are unique in North Dakota in that the workforce comes from all over for good paying jobs. We lack affordable housing for the supporting workforce that lends itself to the vitality of the communities. We need to make investments in the Williston and Trenton areas by developing more housing that is affordable. We have many great business opportunities in our future if we can grow a workforce that envisions an affordable lifestyle in the area.
North Dakota needs to support our public education system because that is where every child can be served. Private systems do not adhere to state standards, nor are they required to accept all students. Therefore, tax dollars that are paid for by everyone should only be used in systems to which everyone has access.
We require a picture Identification with proof of residency, which is sufficient. We need to encourage civil engagement, and voting is a big part of that.
The Federal government is currently attempting to take over our free and fair elections. This must remain the States responsibility. We must work to ensure every legal citizen has access to the ballot box.
