Every child deserves a chance to succeed, and that starts with access to nutritious school lunches and quality education. I am committed to strengthening investment in District 15, supporting local economic growth, and standing up for strong family values. I also believe we need to have real conversations by bringing diverse voices to the table so we can find the best solutions together. Together, we can build a community where opportunity is available to everyone.
To make healthcare more affordable for North Dakotans, I would focus on practical, rural solutions that increase access and reduce costs. Strengthening local hospitals, clinics, and healthcare workforce recruitment will help families get care closer to home and avoid expensive travel or delayed treatment. Expanding telehealth services can also improve access to routine care and reduce unnecessary emergency room visits, especially in rural areas like District 15.
I would address North Dakota’s housing needs by focusing on rehabilitating existing vacant and underused properties across our communities. Many homes and buildings sit empty while families struggle to find affordable housing. By investing in renovation programs, local partnerships, and incentives to restore existing structures, we can bring housing back into use more quickly and cost-effectively. This approach strengthens neighborhoods, supports local growth, and expands affordable housing.
I believe public dollars should remain focused on strengthening our public schools, which serve all children in our communities. I do not support using taxpayer funds to subsidize private education. Instead, we should invest in improving public education, supporting teachers, reducing class sizes, expanding support services, and ensuring every student in North Dakota has access to a high-quality education, no matter their economic background or zip code.
I support continuing North Dakota’s current system of Election Day in-person voting and absentee ballots, which provides important options for voters across our rural state. At the same time, I believe we should explore adding or adjusting voting locations so that more communities have convenient access to vote closer to home. This approach maintains election integrity while improving accessibility for all eligible voters.
I believe the federal government plays an important role in protecting constitutional rights, maintaining national security, and supporting states during large-scale challenges. At the same time, states should retain strong authority to make decisions that best reflect their unique needs and communities. I believe there are areas where the balance can be improved when federal regulations become overly broad or restrictive in ways that limit states’ ability to innovate or address local needs.
