Educational opportunities to all of our students rewardless where they live. I believe parents should have the ultimate say in their childe's education. Expansion of property tax relief but a uniform approach that includes all class of property like agriculture and commercial. Protecting the rights of our farmers and cattlemen to be able raise their crops or cattle without federal interference or over burdening regulations. Making sure property rights are protected. Protecting rural EMS.
Make sure that medication cost is as low as possible. Working with the Rural Health Transportation Act to promote better health at a rural level to provide healthier living conditions to take the burden off medical insurance. Look for regional consolidation of health service to provide better rates of services.
Provide for expansion of the state housing programs. Expand for low interest loans for housing with partnerships with industry and communities that are experiencing large development growth. Maybe offering tax incentives to these industries that promote housing as part of recruiting workforce.
I do not support state dollars that go to non-public education that do not have the same standards, accountability and do not provide for opportunities for any student that may want to go there. I do support school choice or dollars that follow the student as long as this money or opportunity is available to every student regardless of where they live or any other learning disability that they may have.
I am happy with the voting system that we currently have and believe it is a very secure and safe system. I would prefer that voters would vote in person on election day but do understand that mail in ballots have their place. I think that North Dakota has done everything possible to make our elections secure and convenient as possible for the voters. I would hope that our patrons would become more engaged and informed and we would have much larger voter turnout than we normally do.
I believe that states should have to ultimate say on many areas include permitting energy generation, water quality and distribution and how we determine the best uses of our natural resources. I think that federal overreach is always possible and that state should have the willingness and resources set aside to challenge infringements of our state rights. Having alliances with other states is also a good idea.

1) I will be a voice for public education. Education is the backbone of our state and country and every individual should have access to quality public education . The voucher program that passed for tax dollars to go to private schools will only funnel money away from public schools that are already underfunded. 2) I will also focus on government oversight and transparency. We need a variety of people at the table holding each other accountable.
North Dakotans deserve affordable healthcare and straight answers on cost. I support transparent pricing from insurers and providers. I’ll fight for rural clinic and hospital funding. Public health facilities are essential and deserve consistent support. Vaccines are safe — medical guidelines should be set by doctors, not misinformation. State healthcare spending should be accountable.
You can’t grow a community where people can’t afford to live. In rural ND, housing is economic development. When workers can’t find affordable homes, communities lose twice. Higher construction costs, higher interest rates, and fewer options are keeping working families out of the market. I’ll work to reduce barriers to construction and ownership. Housing is infrastructure. It’s time we treated it that way.
Public education changed my life. Every child deserves the same opportunity regardless of zip code. Public dollars belong in public schools — vouchers defund rural schools already stretched thin. North Dakota’s Constitution requires a public school system free from sectarian control. Students deserve to be fed. Education from early childhood , K-12, career and technical training, and post-secondary is our greatest investment. Our children will be one of my priorities.
North Dakota has a secure election system — paper ballots, voter ID, and statewide check-in. That’s worth being proud of. My concern isn’t voter fraud, it’s voter disengagement. Too many North Dakotans are sitting out a process that directly affects their lives. Mail ballots are valuable but postmark delays deserve attention. Show up. Your vote matters. Democracy doesn’t maintain itself.
Government works best closest to the people it serves. North Dakotans know their land and communities better than Washington ever will. The 10th Amendment gives states the right and responsibility to govern education, health, land use, and environmental balance. Non-disclosure agreements between corporations and elected officials have no place in public governance. Openness is a North Dakota value.
