I lead Carolina for All which pushed for an early voting bill that I co-wrote, which eventually led to a Republican-backed bill for 2 weeks of early voting, the first progressive change in SC voting laws since Reconstruction days.
Medicaid Expansion. I also support Universal Healthcare.
A moratorium on data centers. Any bill that would stop data centers until the General Assembly establishes a comprehensive oversight and approval process.

I support secure, transparent elections that remain accessible to every eligible voter in South Carolina. We should maintain paper ballots and require routine audits to verify results, while strengthening cybersecurity and chain-of-custody procedures. Voter ID laws should remain, but IDs must be free and easy to obtain. I support expanded early voting and secure absentee options for seniors, military, and those with disabilities. Investing in trained poll workers and well-equipped polling sites will improve Election Day efficiency. Clear public communication and consistent accountability will build trust and ensure confidence in our elections.
I am for real, results-driven measures to make health care more accessible and affordable for low-income South Carolinians. This entails increasing access to primary care through the use of community health clinics and mobile health units, particularly in rural areas. I advocate increasing telehealth availability to further decrease wait times and travel, and that we ensure reliable broadband access. We need to also overcome workforce shortages and create incentives for doctors and nurses to practice in underserved communities. Maintaining coverage for pre-existing conditions and expansion of preventative care could provide long-term cost savings. Finally, I applaud greater price transparency and efforts to lower prescription drug costs
I support balanced, forward-looking regulation of data centers that protects communities while encouraging economic growth in South Carolina. This includes requiring clear zoning standards, environmental impact reviews, and responsible water and energy use. Data centers should contribute fairly to local infrastructure through impact fees and not shift costs to residents. I support transparency so communities understand projects before approval. We must also protect grid reliability and prioritize partnerships that use renewable energy where possible. Finally, these projects should deliver real local benefits, jobs, workforce development, and tax revenue, while operating responsibly and sustainably.
