I've been one of the most conservative members of the Sullivan County Commission since first taking office in 2022: I've never voted for a property tax increase, I voted no on raising building permit fees, I voted no on a proposal which passed allowing County Commissioners to draw retirement, I helped get the old Westside Inn torn down (which brought drugs & crime into our district), I helped get us new direct flights to Orlando, DC, and Chicago at Tri-Cities Regional Airport, and I've always voted to support our Sheriff's Office.
I also wrote a resolution which kept a needle exchange out of our district, preventing free drug needles from being given away on Lynn Garden Drive.
I'm a third-gen Kingsport native and a realtor since 2019.
I campaign for office the old-fashioned way: by going door-to-door talking to folks and getting to know them. That's how I know most people are concerned with making sure they aren’t overburdened by tax increases, and they want to see this area grow and thrive without losing touch with its roots. That's why one of my top priorities is putting in place a long-term financial plan for Sullivan County that will help us keep taxes low and grow our county the right way.
I serve on the Opioid Advisory Committee for Sullivan County, and I want to see our region break free of the Opioid Epidemic and help people regain their lives.
Finally, making sure Lynn Garden gets the revitalization it deserves will always be important to me.
I’ve spent over a decade serving on the Kingsport City Schools Board of Education, working through real budgets, real decisions, and real consequences for our community. I’m not new to this. I’ve been in the room asking questions, pushing for accountability, and making decisions that impact thousands of families.
Professionally, I’ve spent my career in sales and leadership roles where results matter. I’m used to working with data, solving problems, and being held accountable. That carries over directly into public service.
I’ve invested my time in this community for years, and I care deeply about where Sullivan County is headed. I don’t sit quietly—I speak up, I do the work, and I follow through.
The biggest issues are making sure Sullivan County is a place where people can build a life, support a family, and feel confident in the future.
That starts with strong schools, because that’s the foundation for everything else. It also means supporting good-paying jobs so families can stay and succeed here. And it means being responsible with taxpayer dollars while making smart, long-term decisions.
At the end of the day, it’s about strengthening what we already have, our communities, our workforce, and our schools, so people who grow up here can stay here and thrive.
