Candidate- Why
I am running to because I strongly feel our students, District Staff Teachers and parents need a schoolboard representative who is totally focused on the educational need of the children. I am voted into office by individuals who are parents and guardians of our children. however, I cannot let party, personal bias or political climate come between the trust placed in me as a servant leader.
Candidate- What
As a representative, I promise to remain focused and dedicated to the needs of our children. I will continue to accomplish this action by only supporting policies and laws of Tennessee that are reasonable and apply to the best interest of our educators, students and staff with input from parents and guardians who has placed their trust and confidence in my ability to make sound decisions.
Candidate- How
As previously stated, I promise that I will not allow political party, or personal feelings to cloud my focus when making policy decisions concerning our children's educational journey. I am willing to listen to my constituent's ideas and include their responses when making decisions, but my decisions will be derived from facts that I get from research provided by our department staff and other reputable sources. I would appreciate you vote to remain the schoolboard representative for the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System District 5.
There are two-
-To work with the CMCSS system to keep our students safe while in our care. and;
- To ensure funds provided through our taxing authority are used to provide a quality educational experience for our children.
As schoolboard representative, I am the person who vote on behalf of our students. I can only do my job if the parents and guardians have confidence in my ability to make sounds decisions.
By always legislating with emphasis on the needs of the child. This must be done with clarity and a personal determination to set-aside any form of either political or personal bias.
Our district has performed well throughout the years of my tenure as board member. Students have gained confidence in classes presented as they prepared themselves to graduate high school and enter into the global economy as productive citizens of the state of Tennessee. I have witnessed the district as it grew in size and in character during my tenure. It is my expressed desire to continue as a team member of the best school district in our state.
