Candidate- Why
I am running for the school board as a lifelong Clarksville native who cares deeply about the strength of our schools and community. I was raised here, and I want to ensure our students are prepared for the future we know is coming. That means strong academics paired with meaningful access to technology. I am committed to expanding equitable access to modern devices, reliable connectivity, and digital tools that enhance learning and build critical skills. I also believe teachers must be supported with training and a voice in decisions. Through transparent governance and responsible stewardship, I will keep Clarksville students first.
Candidate- What
As a school board member, I will work to ensure Clarksville students receive a high‑quality education that balances strong academics with purposeful use of technology. I will focus on expanding equitable access to modern learning tools, strengthening digital literacy, and supporting instructional programs that prepare students for college, careers, and life beyond graduation. My role will be to set clear priorities, oversee responsible budgeting, and support educators through policies that value both innovation and classroom impact. Above all, I will help guide decisions that reflect community values and keep student success at the center of everything we do.
Candidate- How
I will serve by listening first, collaborating widely, and acting transparently. I will engage parents, students, educators, and community partners to understand needs and set clear priorities. I will advocate for evidence‑based investments in instructional technology, reliable connectivity, and teacher training, aligned to curriculum and student outcomes. I will use data to guide budgeting, measure impact, and ensure equity across schools. I will support teachers through professional development and consistent feedback loops. Finally, I will communicate progress openly, build consensus, and make students the center of every decision, while honoring Clarksville’s values and maintaining accountability to taxpayers through regular reporting.
My top priority as a member of the Montgomery County School Board is strengthening student success by supporting and retaining high‑quality educators while ensuring our schools remain safe, well‑resourced, and accountable to the community.
Everything we want for our children—strong academics, safe learning environments, and preparation for life after graduation—begins with the people in our classrooms and the systems that support them. In a fast‑growing district like ours, we must be proactive, not reactive. That means making thoughtful decisions that balance growth, fiscal responsibility, and student needs.
First, we must invest in our educators. Teachers and school staff are the foundation of educational excellence. Supporting them means
I will strengthen the relationship between the Clarksville‑Montgomery County School System and the community through clear communication, transparency, and collaboration. My experience in municipal leadership and higher education has required working closely with educators, administrators, and community partners to support effective public services. As Chief Technology Officer for the City of Hopkinsville and Technical Services Director at Austin Peay State University, I collaborated across departments to ensure decisions supported learning environments and public trust. As a school board member, I will promote open dialogue, clear communication of board decisions, and partnerships that support students, families, and educators.
My interest in education is shaped by both professional experience and a commitment to public service. While serving as Technical Services Director at APSU, I supported learning environments by managing instructional technology, classroom systems, and faculty support services critical to student success. My broader career in municipal leadership further strengthened my understanding of how thoughtful planning, policy development, and accountability improve public institutions. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Public Administration, I continue to deepen my knowledge of effective governance and educational leadership. I am committed to supporting educators, strengthening learning environments, and ensuring student sucess.
