I have an educational background in engineering, management and marketing. I ran a tree company as a certified Arborist for 12 Years, this taught me how to organize teams, how to grow things and get work done safely. That company was sold in 2011. 2011-2014 I worked as a registered financial advisor with a series 65 certification. This experience helped me to understand how finance works. 2014 I started Samuel T Braynt Distillery LLC where I currently work now. The distillery is the 1# Place to visit on Trip Advisor for this area.
I have a very good understanding of work processes, business organization and a track record of solving difficult problems.
The rise in the cost of living over the last four years. I have spoken to several 25–30-year-olds that are worried that they will never be able to afford to buy a home. Housing costs has been a huge factor in the significant increase in homelessness in Madison County.
Another big issue is the educational system. It is improving due to the persistence of our Superintendent, his staff, and the school board, but we are still significantly behind where we should be. I feel the best way to improve is to support Dr King and listen to the needs of teachers and kids.
I plan to be available to listen very carefully to the citizens of the community and do my very best to understand the complex problems facing Madison County.
