Mission Statement: The mission of the Magnolia Independent School District is to provide an educational environment that will enable all students to develop essential academic skills for a lifetime of learning and to prepare students to be responsible, contributing citizens in a diverse and changing world.The key roles and responsibilities of the school board members are:· Hire and evaluate the superintendent and delegate all administrative responsibilities· Approve the school district’s budget· Establish goals and evaluate outcomes· Adopt and evaluate policies· Communicate with the communityThe Board functions according to state and federal laws, the rules and regulations established by the State Board of Education, and the Texas Education Agency. Term: Three (3) years
