The most pressing issues are affordability, access to healthcare, and housing stability. Rising costs for rent, utilities, and everyday essentials are putting real pressure on working families.

To address this, I support strengthening consumer protections and improving oversight of utility costs to prevent unfair rate increases. I will continue working to expand access to affordable healthcare by supporting workforce development and policies that increase provider availability. I also support investing in affordable housing, including programs that repair existing homes and incentivize the construction of new units, to help families stay in their communities.
I support expanding access to voting through measures like early voting, mail-in voting, and ensuring adequate polling locations. Language access and translation services are also critical so all eligible voters can fully participate. At the same time, we must maintain strong security standards and public confidence in our elections through transparency, accountability, and proper funding of election infrastructure.
The budget process should be more transparent, collaborative, and timely. Too often, decisions are made late in the process without sufficient public input. I support earlier negotiations, clearer timelines, and greater transparency so stakeholders and residents understand how decisions are made. Ensuring sustainable revenue and responsible planning can also help avoid delays and last-minute negotiations.
Data centers can bring economic development and good-paying jobs, including opportunities for union labor, but they also place significant demands on energy, water, and infrastructure. The state should establish clear, reasonable standards to ensure these projects are developed responsibly and do not shift costs onto consumers. A balanced approach ensures we support job creation while protecting ratepayers and local communities.
