The cost of living is skyrocketing. From groceries and gas to astronomical home energy bills and healthcare costs, families that were already stretched thin are being crushed by reckless federal policies and unchecked corporate greed. I'm fighting for families and getting results, addressing challenges in our district and working to level the playing field. I secured millions of dollars in infrastructure, public works, and community organizations throughout the 144th, increased funding for our public schools, and pushed for state budgets with historic investments in economic development. I also sponsored legislation to put smart guardrails in place to ensure AI data centers won't destroy our communities while corporations hoard profits.
Election integrity is vital to our nation’s future. Your vote is your voice and your power, and some seek to limit, control, and distort our votes to serve their own interests. They fear fair elections, because they can’t compete with extreme ideas and failed policies. Our elections are run with integrity, by dedicated, patriotic volunteers who take their roles very seriously and act with professionalism. Access to the polls, the ability to cast your vote by mail or in-person, and the security that comes with knowing your ballot will be treated with care and counted accurately are at the heart of the nation established in our founding documents. I oppose any attempts to restrict voting, one of our most sacred duties as American citizens.
I don't believe in right or left government; I believe in good government. I work across the aisle all the time and welcome good faith debate on how to ease the burden and make life better for people. Unfortunately, the PA Senate has become the place where ideas go to die. The Republican majority seems to have committed itself to standing in the way to weaken and water down badly needed relief for our families, schools, businesses, and environment. Delayed budgets aren't just frustrating; they hurt our schools and communities in very real ways. Let's come together like grown-ups and tackle the big problems our friends and neighbors face every day. Be part of the solution, not another obstacle to progress at a time when people are hurting.
This is the "new fracking." We must learn from our failures to address the serious environmental impacts of AI data centers. I am co-sponsoring HB 2150 and 2151, which would require data center developers and users to report their operations and energy and water usage to PA, and direct municipalities to regulate data centers and adopt local ordinances to limit harmful impacts on nearby communities. We need guardrails as this new technological frontier expands rapidly. I do not support letting these companies come in and reap economic benefits by destroying our environment and harming our communities, and will continue to advocate for more laws tackling AI-related issues and fighting for affordable energy for Pennsylvanians.
