It is composed of two houses: the Senate is the upper house, and the House of Representatives is the lower house. A majority vote in both houses is necessary to pass a law. The PA House of Representatives consists of 203 members representing one district each, with an equal number of constituents. Should the state legislature enact laws concerning the impacts on water, energy, or land use from the development and operation of data centers? The most pressing issues facing residents of the 106th District are rising costs of living, access to quality jobs, and the strain on our infrastructure—including energy, housing, and transportation. Too many families are being priced out of stability while still lacking access to reliable services and economic opportunity.

Residents in the 106th District face rising costs, limited access to good jobs, and strained infrastructure including housing, energy, and transportation. I will support policies that lower costs, expand clean energy and public transit, strengthen small businesses, and ensure government is responsive so every community has a voice.
Pennsylvania’s budget process is too often delayed, creating uncertainty for residents and local governments. I support reforms to ensure the budget is passed on time, including stronger deadlines, transparency measures, and increased public input. A timely, transparent budget ensures essential services are funded, helps communities plan, and holds lawmakers accountable to the people.
Yes, the state should play a role in regulating data center development to protect water, energy, and land resources, and ensure communities aren’t negatively impacted. At the same time, municipalities should maintain authority under the MPC to address local concerns. We must balance economic development with protecting farmable land, community resources, and quality of life for all Pennsylvanians.

The skyrocketing cost of living, with frozen minimum wages, is making life unaffordable for the average constituent. Affordable housing for owners and renters will be among my top priorities. Also, providing targeted tax relief and reducing energy costs while increasing minimum wages will significantly help residents make ends meet.
Overall, the elections in PA are currently safe, secure, and mail-in ballot makes them easier to access for those unable to vote at polling booths. Voter registration is secure, and only legally registered voters are allowed to vote at polling booths. Any outdated voting machines in PA, which lack verifiable paper records, are susceptible to hacking and manipulation; therefore need to be updated. The current administration's attempts to suppress certain subpopulations of voters and threats of the presence of ICE at polling places are a concern. Efforts must be made to make sure that voters and poll workers feel safe on election day, and no one is intimidated or threatened in any way.
Governor Josh Shapiro delivered a $53.3 Billion spending plan prioritizing education, housing, and economic growth. This is an ambitious budget, and I support the process. In order to ensure a timely enactment of the state budget, early bipartisan negotiations between the caucus leaders and the governor to address disagreements on revenue, spending, and school funding may prevent an impasse. Proposing legislation that requires the budget to be aligned with economic growth may prevent disagreements and impasses. Laws that outline specifically how money is spent, rather than just the total amount, may also prevent disagreements and impasses.
The State Legislature can impose a moratorium on the development of data centres, while simultaneously establishing a task force charged with the responsibility of researching the positive and negative impacts of data centres on water, electricity, land use, environment, and wildlife. State legislature can then work with municipalities to evaluate if a statewide legislation would be more effective, and prevent each municipality from developing individual redundant ordinances, or would it be beneficial for municipalities to develop unique ordinances on the development of data centres suited for unique individual needs and infrastructure?
