The most pressing issue facing my constituents, just like all Americans, was a cost of living crisis. A cost of living crisis in which food, housing, power, and other daily necessities skyrocketed. As was the case for most working families, people in my district were having to choose power or dinner. That was before this president's trade policy destroyed global relationships. That was before opening another senseless forever war.

I will combat this crisis by standing for sensible leadership. I will push for policy protecting institutional experts from dangerous firing and hiring. I will fight to hold greedy oligarchs in the private and public sector accountable.
Congress writes law. The president signs them.

Congress decides when and how this nation goes to war. Congress decides where money is allocated, and how it is spent.

I would fight to make intentional withholding of funds allocated to social services a federal crime. I would fight to pass war-powers policy that limits the president's ability to go into endless wars with an infinite bill.

As a veteran, I know that 'mission creep' happens when there’s no oversight. What we are witnessing is beyond that kind of incompetence, and thus this legislation is a dire priority.
Congress must reassert its role in reviewing international agreements, from trade to climate, ensuring that "Executive Agreements" aren't used to bypass the people's representatives. To ensure the president and his family aren't personally profiting to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars. Congress should support robust funding for the State Department and USAID. Congress should ensure the U.S. remains a reliable partner in NATO and other security pacts. As a veteran, I’ve personally experienced what happens when we have aimless foreign policy without Congressional oversight. I will fight to ensure that any commitment of American lives or taxpayer dollars is debated openly on the House floor.
When the government cuts $1 trillion from Medicaid while also spending $93 billion a month on Pentagon luxuries, the system is broken and deeply corrupted.

We need to pass the Medicare For All Act(H.R.3069) or similar such legislation that acknowledges one simple truth-

In a civilized society, healthcare is a human right.
