Ada County Assessor
The County Assessor serves a 4-year term and maintains a current record of ownership of all property within the county, prepares a map of all real property within the county, and assesses the market value of all property in the county. The assessor must notify each property owner of the assessed value of their property on an annual basis. The Department of Motor Vehicles is the responsibility of the County Assessor.

Growth is the greatest challenge facing the county. As Assessor, I do not have influence over growth, however, I have been a strong advocate for protecting private property rights; reducing taxes; making government more efficient, open, and transparent; and improving existing services to citizens and adding new services.
REBECCA ARNOLD is a practicing attorney and former CPA, with a Master of Business Administration (Finance emphasis), a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, and a Doctorate in jurisprudence. Rebecca has 38 years of experience in commercial and residential real estate, 16 years of experience setting and administering budgets for ACHD to assure that tax dollars were used efficiently and effectively, and 3 years of experience as Ada County Assessor setting and administering budgets and working to provide excellent service to the public, including adding new services. Rebecca has been a dedicated community volunteer and public servant for 34 years, including serving on the board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Ada County and other volunteer organizations.
