Ada County Commissioner
In my view, the most important issues in the purview of the Ada County Board of Commissioners are:
1. Rising Property Taxes. Many families are feeling the impact of higher housing costs. I’ll focus on disciplined spending, fully fund public safety, and ensure the county delivers essential services at the lowest possible cost so homeowners aren’t burdened by unnecessary increases.
2. Budgeting and Transparency. Ada County can benefit from more fiscal restraint and clearer, more accessible financial communication. I’ll implement more cost‑saving policies, increase revenues where appropriate, and provide taxpayers with a succinct, easy‑to‑read report that explains major decisions in real dollars and cents.
3. Planning and Growth Management. Rapid growth requires thoughtful, long‑range planning. I’ll ensure that growth pays for itself, implement evidence‑based planning, and invest in infrastructure at the right time and lowest cost to keep Ada County affordable and financially strong.
I earned a degree in political economy from The College of Idaho, and combined with more than a decade of experience in public policy, local government, and strategic communications, I bring the analytical skills this role requires. My work has given me the ability to dig deep into issues with critical thinking and analysis, research best practices, coordinate with stakeholders, and implement policy change. I’ve worked for three Idaho local governments, giving me strong working knowledge of budgets, public hearings, ordinances, resolutions, public-private partnerships, urban renewal, taxing districts, and stakeholder engagement. As a parent raising two kids in the Treasure Valley, I’m committed to strengthening this community and ensuring they can build a future here and afford to buy a home. Myqualifications stand in contrast to my opponent, who has no college degree and had no job experience (or relevant training) before being elected.
I will stay closely engaged with constituents by being accessible, responsive, and present in the community. I’m already an active, involved member of Ada County, and I’m committed to maintaining open conversations with residents so we can work through concerns and find practical solutions together. I also want to expand opportunities for public involvement earlier in the process, especially for projects or decisions that affect larger groups of residents, so people have a meaningful voice before final decisions are made by the board.

I am running to keep Ada County livable. We need to plan for growth, not react to it. We need to protect the health of Ada County residents by appointing vetted medical professionals to the Central District Health Board. And we need to make sure that our frontline county workers -- sheriff's deputies, EMTs, and county jail employees -- are compensated appropriately.

Ada County Commission, District 1
1. Handling growth; As an economist, I'll bring a forward-thinking approach to development -- making sure we plan for the future instead of react to it. I'll insist that as we grow, we create housing options at numerous price points and develop in a way that makes public transit efficient and effective.
2. Modernizing the Ada County Jail; I'll support programs that prevent recidivism. I'll also insist that the State of Idaho pays Ada County appropriately for housing state inmates, so the cost of any expansion and modernization doesn't fall solely on Ada County residents.
3. Appointing qualified and vetted medical professionals to the Central District Health Board; I'll support appointing medical professionals who believe in peer-reviewed science to the Board of Health at the Central District Health Department.
I've lived in Ada County for over 30 years and I've experienced it from every level -- college student, construction laborer, beer-delivery driver, Micron employee, and tech start-up worker. I have a degree in economics, so I'm used to envisioning the future and creating policies to help get us there. I also have a degree in finance, so I'm familiar with the budget process and have the discipline to make sure tax dollars are spent wisely.
I enjoy engaging with community members -- fielding questions and receiving feedback -- about local issues and looking for unique, creative ways to solve them. I expect to hold town halls numerous times a year in various parts of the county and plan to be available on a regular basis for Ada County residents who want to engage.

County Commissioner District 1
The biggest challenges facing our county are growth, rising costs, and pressure on infrastructure. We are growing quickly, and that puts strain on housing, water, roads, and public services. At the same time, residents are feeling the impact of property taxes and cost of living.
We also need to protect property rights while making sure development happens in a way that works for the whole community. That includes being thoughtful about land use, infrastructure, and long-term resource planning.
My focus is on managing growth responsibly, using resources wisely, and making sure county government delivers results people can see in their daily lives.
I am a business owner in Ada County, so I understand the importance of good management, budgeting, and making responsible financial decisions. I know how to balance costs while still delivering results, which is critical in county government.
I am also deeply involved in my community in Garden City, where I volunteer regularly and serve as co-chair of the marketing committee. Through this work, I collaborate with local leaders, support small businesses, and stay connected to the needs of residents.
In my professional work, I have led communications, managed projects, and worked with nonprofits and community organizations across Idaho. This has given me experience bringing people together, solving problems, and turning ideas into action.
I bring a combination of real-world business experience, community involvement, and a strong understanding of local issues, and I am ready to put that to work for Ada County.
Staying engaged with constituents is one of my top priorities. I already spend a lot of time in the community through volunteering, local events, and my work in Garden City, and I plan to continue building on that.
I will be accessible and responsive by holding regular community meetings, attending local events, and making myself available to residents who want to share concerns or ideas. I also plan to use social media and digital platforms to keep people informed and create an easy way for them to reach me.
Just as importantly, I will listen. Good leadership starts with understanding what people are experiencing day to day. I want residents to feel heard, informed, and confident that their voice matters in the decisions being made.
