The State Central Committee governs State Party operations and policies through three basic functions: 1) Electing Party Officers and the Executive Committee. 2) Acting as a liaison to constituents through education and outreach. 3) Supporting candidates through grassroots organizing and fundraising activities. While many factors contribute to overall political success, each of these core functions is vital for both fiscal responsibility and political effectiveness.
My top priorities are to help get Democrats elected by Increasing voter awareness of our candidates and their platforms through direct outreach and candidate forums, continuing to host events and fundraisers at my home and elsewhere so that candidates have the needed resources to reach voters statewide, and by supporting capable and effective Party leadership.
I believe that voter enthusiasm is the key to changing Ohio’s political course. Building on my past leadership with the Shaker Heights Democratic Club, and other organizations with which I’ve been involved over the past twenty plus years, I am committed to reaching voters through one-to-one contact and providing the election and candidate information needed for voters to make informed choices.

There are many important functions of the State Central Committee. Some of the most critical are: -Serve as the governing and executive body of the State Democratic Party, interpret and apply party rules, bylaws, and platform provisions -Elect and oversee party officers, including the State Party Chair, Vice Chairs, Secretary, and Treasurer -Adopt, amend, and enforce party bylaws and rules of procedure -Recruit, support, and promote Democratic candidates across the sate -Coordinate and manage the party's electoral strategy across the state -Adopt and monitor the party's annual budget -Strengthen county, district, and local Democratic Party organizations -Provide training, resources, and support to county party chairs and activists
As a current State Central Committee member, I will continue my efforts to increase voter turnout and voter participation, ensure diverse voices will be heard locally and at the state level and ensure democrats are elected from the top of the ticket down to local races. I am committed to recruiting diverse democratic candidates for all offices. I also believe it is important to prioritize fundraising for candidates from local voters to not only help with getting their message to local voters but to also keep dark money out of politics.
I will continue the efforts I began after my first election in 2022, engaging with local activists and groups in 14 communities to mail absentee/vote by mail applications to democrats and left-leaning independents. This effort, along with active follow-up reminders, proved successful in that 84% of those voters who received a vote by mail application voted. This effort was replicated 3 times during my tenure and funded through local fundraising efforts, and had a direct impact on voter turnout, with each municipality exceeding turnout compared to the county turnout.
