At its core, the State Central Committee builds a strong, connected Democratic Party—one that finds great candidates, supports them, and reaches people across Ohio.
2.7 million Ohioans are unregistered or inactive. Many are young, Black, and from our major cities. They are not unreachable—they are unheard.
If we engage them, they can shape elections.
This requires real community engagement: showing up, listening, building trust, and developing new leaders so every community has a voice.
As a former mayor and councilmember, I have seen it—when we stay connected to people, we don’t just compete, we win.
If elected, my focus is simple: connect, engage, and show up.
We must reach those who feel overlooked—especially working families and younger voters—and meet them where they are: in neighborhoods, at community events, in barbershops, salons, and online. We can’t expect people to come to us—we must go to them.
I believe in accountability. This role isn’t a title, it’s a responsibility. That means being present, accessible, and doing the work year-round.
Trust is earned through consistency. If we want votes, we must build real relationships. That’s the leadership I bring—consistent, visible, and rooted in the community.
For me, promoting voter participation isn’t just an idea—it’s work I do every day.
Through my leadership in Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, I help lead voter registration, education, and mobilization across Ohio and West Virginia. Alongside 1,000+ men, we engage communities, encouraging people not just to register, but to understand the power of their vote.
I’ve worked with churches, civic groups, and the Divine Nine, sharing this message on radio, TV, and community platforms—because people participate when they hear from someone they trust.
After nearly 15 years serving Woodmere Village and Cuyahoga County, I know leadership is about service. If elected, I’ll bring that energy and commitment. If not, I’ll keep supporting and organizing to move our party forward; party over personality.

I will continue my work of canvassing areas that have been underserved to connect with people on their issues. Focusing on grassroots organizing is key in the ever changing digital world.
