The more important thing of State Central Committee are to support the Democratic party at the state level, managing the workings of the party, organizing, and elections.
I'm a strong supporter of the middle class, public schools, and reducing taxes.
I am very active in my local community, and use my voice accordingly. Will continue to do so at the state level.

The State Central Committee is the governing body for the State Party, in this case the Ohio Democratic Party. It is responsible for the party's platform, bylaws, and operations. Members of this committee should be available and responsive to all those Ohioans who make up their district, in this case State Senate District 13, which comprises all of Lorain County and most of Huron County (with the exception of Wakeman and Bellevue and their surrounding areas). The central committee person should know the voters and issues in their district, and act as a bridge between the State Party and local parties, clubs, and individuals. The State Central Committee should be made up of those who know and equally represent their entire district in order to best understand all of Ohio's voters.
Every voter in Ohio is of equal importance, but not every voter always feels that they are met with the same level of engagement. It is deeply important to me that no part of State Senate District 13 be ignored or taken for granted by Ohio Dems, regardless of zip code, career, or background. Having served on the Ohio Democratic Party's Executive Committee for many years, I am familiar with how meetings and activities are run and I am eager to take the next step as an elected member of the State Central Committee. In addition, I look forward to collaborating with other Committee members as well as Caucus members in order to improve the messaging, reputation, and overall impact of the Ohio Democratic Party, resulting in helping every Ohio Democrat feel proud to call themselves a Democrat.
In addition to the work I already do through Lorain County Rising and other local, state, and national organizations dedicated to voter registration, education, and participation, I want to focus on asking questions of voters across State Senate District 13. I want to know what is important to them, why they do or don't vote for particular candidates and issues, and why they do or don't vote at all. This knowledge will be instrumental in increasing voter participation across the district. I also plan to collaborate with candidates and elected officials who champion voting rights and voter access, working with their offices and engaging with their constituents to increase voter participation.
