Candidate Bio Information I'm Not a politician, I'm Your NEIGHBOR! - 25 years resident in Jackson Twp. - Small Business Owner. I want to hear from your, your ideas, want, needs, wishes & thoughts. Building Community Together!
1. Safety first: Fire Coverage. Why don't we have a fire department. Are we covered sufficiently. 2. Community involvement: I fear we tend to go into our homes and not reach out to each other when there is a need... or just building friendships. 3. I really want to hear from the residents of Jackson Township. What are their priorities.
I have lived in Jackson Twp for 25 years! I am a small business owner and have been selling real estate in Porter County for over 20 years. I have had kids in the schools, so I know the ins and outs of the schools. I am involved in many community groups, so I have my ear to the ground. I ASK QUESTIONS... then I LISTEN TO THE ANSWERS. I really would like to hear more from the residents of Jackson Twp on what they would like to see here.
We need to do more with less.... I totally understand that! We need to go over the budget line by line. Then determine what the best use of our funds are... this should be by the Board AND the input of our residents.
I truly think we need to hold the Trustee meetings in a PUBLIC area. It should be posted. We need a Jackson Township Website where people can find their trustee, events & help! Send out Emails, Postcards, to everyone. We are small-ish... Even a Group Pot-Luck Dinner so we can meet each other!
