Qualifications & Education
I graduated with honors from Vanderbilt University in 2002 with a degree in English, and I received my law degree from Ole Miss in 2005. I have served as the elected Tate County Prosecuting Attorney for eighteen (18) years and I was the Board Attorney for the City of Senatobia, Mississippi for eight (8) years. In addition to those roles in local government, I have almost twenty (20) years of daily work experience in Chancery Court, which is the court in which I seek to serve. I have served as a Guardian ad Litem and expert witness in over 600 cases in Chancery Court. A Guardian ad Litem is appointed to investigate abuse and neglect claims, evaluate evidence and make recommendations as to the bests interests of children in divorce and custody cases. I have also served as an assistant prosecutor in various other municipal courts in our area.

My judicial philosophy is grounded in fairness, integrity, and faithful application of the law. A chancery judge must approach every case with an open mind, carefully consider the facts and the applicable law, and treat every person with dignity and respect. My responsibility would be to decide each case on its individual merits—not on personal opinions or outside influences.
Throughout my legal career, I have worked daily in and around the chancery court system. As a Guardian ad Litem , I have investigated difficult matters and made recommendations based on the law and the best interests of the children involved. I believe the public deserves a judge who is knowledgeable, patient and respectful.
Rather than modeling myself after any one individual, I have been fortunate to learn from many respected judges and attorneys throughout my career. I most admire judges who are known for their fairness and integrity.
I recognize that judges are elected by the people, but once elected, a judge's duty is to the Constitution, the laws of Mississippi, and the fair administration of justice—not to any political interest, campaign supporter, or special interest group.
Campaigns provide an opportunity for voters to learn about a candidate's qualifications, experience, temperament, and commitment to public service. However, after the election, every person who appears before the court deserves the same fair, impartial, and respectful consideration, regardless of who they are or whether they supported my campaign.
Throughout my career, I have built my reputation on integrity, professionalism, and careful preparation. If elected, I will continue to decide every case based solely on the facts presented, the applicable law, and the evidence admitted in court. I believe maintaining judicial independence is essential to preserving public confidence in our courts.

I have served as the elected Prosecuting Attorney for 18 years, handling Youth Court matters, child abuse and neglect cases, involuntary commitment proceedings, and other cases affecting children and families. I have also served as a Municipal Board Attorney, representing a municipality in chancery court matters.
In addition, I have served as a Guardian ad Litem and expert witness in more than 600 chancery court cases. That experience has required me to investigate complex matters, evaluate evidence, and make independent recommendations to the court based on the law and the best interests of the child. These are responsibilities that demand impartiality, diligence, and sound judgment.
My years of daily chancery court experience have prepared me to serve the citizens of this district with integrity and impartiality from my first day on the bench.
