Seagoville families deserve leaders who listen and serve with integrity. I am Edward G. Rasmussen, a longtime resident, former teacher and coach with a Master’s degree in Industrial Education, and a recipient of two U.S. Patents in the medical field. My career has focused on solving problems and serving people. I will bring practical experience, independent judgment, and a commitment to listening to residents and acting on the needs of Seagoville families.
Seagoville families deserve responsible budgeting that protects essential city services. I support transparent priorities that focus spending on public safety, infrastructure, and maintaining our neighborhoods. By reviewing spending, reducing waste, and encouraging responsible economic growth that strengthens our tax base, the city can maintain services while protecting residents from unnecessary tax increases.
Seagoville residents benefit when governments work together responsibly. Our city should cooperate with state and federal agencies when it improves public safety, emergency preparedness, and access to important resources. At the same time, all agencies must follow the law and remain accountable to the communities they serve. Protecting residents while respecting individual rights must always come first.
Every Seagoville resident deserves fairness, dignity, and respect. I support clear policies that prohibit discrimination, ensure equal access to city services, and hold public officials accountable to the law. Strong ethics standards, transparency, and proper training help protect residents while building trust between the community and city government.
Transportation options should reflect the real needs of Seagoville residents. I support exploring practical solutions that help seniors, workers, and families reach jobs, medical care, and essential services. Any improvements should be carefully planned with regional partners and remain fiscally responsible so mobility improves without creating unnecessary costs for taxpayers.
Seagoville’s future depends on responsible growth that strengthens our community. We should attract quality businesses that expand our tax base, support public safety, improve infrastructure, and bring more shopping, restaurants, parks, and youth sports opportunities to our city. At the same time, we must protect neighborhood stability by encouraging homeownership and responsible development that benefits Seagoville families.
