I was a Central Committee Member for 6 years. As a precinct chair I was responsible for attending meetings of the Geauga Central Committee. i helped to identify Republican candidates to run for offices. I informed my constituents in South Russell of issues affecting the County, candidates who were running for office, and I supported through donations, door knocking, and fundraising for candidates. I continue to work for my constituents as a member of the Geauga County Republican Party Executive Committee.
I would like to see the Republican Party work to promote conservative values. That is done by identifying and helping elect commissioners, state and local representatives, who exemplify those values. Geauga County is very diverse, it is composed of suburbs, farms, and industry. We need to preserve our farms, while providing jobs for our residents. Property taxes need to be reformed so that our elder residents do not lose their homes.
In the past as precinct chair for South Russell C, I sent out periodic postcards letting them know what is happening in the county and informed them about the candidates running for various offices. I provided my email address. I still receive emails from constituents in the precinct who want information about the GOP and issues in the county.
