I am running for City Council to help ensure Lucas continues to be governed with fiscal responsibility, transparency, and a focus on essential services like public safety and infrastructure. Lucas is a unique community, and I believe in listening to residents, protecting taxpayers, and making thoughtful decisions that preserve our city’s character while planning responsibly for the future.

Lucas is located in a rapidly growing region, and that growth will bring increased traffic, infrastructure needs, and service demands. Careful planning will be important to ensure development strengthens the community without placing unnecessary strain on roads, utilities, or taxpayers.

As surrounding areas grow, traffic will continue to evolve. The city’s priority should be maintaining safe, reliable roads and improving traffic flow where possible. Transportation decisions should focus on practical improvements that provide real value to residents.

Maintaining roads, drainage, water systems, and public safety facilities is essential as Lucas grows. Preventative maintenance and responsible capital planning can help meet future needs while avoiding unnecessary financial burdens.

Keeping taxes, fees, and regulations under control is key to maintaining affordability. Encouraging responsible development and supporting local economic activity will help keep Lucas a strong and financially stable community.

I support balanced budgets, maintaining strong reserves, and transparent spending that prioritizes essential services. Taxpayer dollars should always be managed carefully and responsibly.

Lucas has a character that residents value. Land use decisions should respect property rights while ensuring development is compatible with the community and its long-term vision.

Working with county, regional, and state partners can help address shared challenges while ensuring Lucas maintains local control and focuses on the needs of its residents.

Public safety remains a top priority. I also believe city government should be transparent, accessible, and responsive to the residents it serves.
