I want to continue serving on the Frisco ISD Board of Trustees because I am deeply committed to providing thoughtful, student-centered leadership that ensures every child has access to a high-quality education. With our district navigating enrollment shifts, teacher retention challenges, and a leadership transition with a new superintendent, experienced and stable guidance is more important than ever. My service in the district includes supporting classroom programs, and engaging with parents, teachers, and administrators to understand their needs and priorities. I have also actively participated in committees and initiatives that enhance student learning, foster community involvement, and ensure responsible use of district resources.
Frisco ISD can ensure a supportive learning environment by continuing to build on the programs and practices that already make our district strong. This includes maintaining safe and inclusive campuses, offering robust mental health and counseling services, and providing ongoing professional development for teachers. Supporting staff through competitive compensation and resources allows them to focus on student success. We should continue encouraging collaboration among administrators, educators, students, and families, fostering strong relationships and open communication. By combining these proven strategies with ongoing innovation and attention to individual student needs, Frisco ISD can maintain a culture where students thrive.
During my term, I would like to build on Frisco ISD’s strong foundation by further improving student academic achievement, engagement, and social-emotional well-being. We can continue to track progress using existing measures such as standardized test scores, course completion rates, Advanced Placement and dual-credit participation, and college and career readiness indicators. Additionally, Frisco ISD’s ongoing student surveys and teacher feedback provide valuable insights into engagement and well-being. By combining these established practices with targeted strategies to close achievement gaps and support every learner, we can ensure that students not only meet high academic standards but also feel supported, confident, and prepared.
To recruit and retain quality teachers and staff, the board should build on the strong practices Frisco ISD already has in place. This includes offering robust professional development, mentoring programs, and leadership opportunities that allow educators to grow and advance in their careers. We should continue fostering a positive work environment through recognition programs, collaborative culture, and strong administrative support. Expanding resources for classroom innovation and providing staff with the tools they need to succeed also helps retention. Additionally, promoting work-life balance through flexible scheduling, wellness programs, and support services ensures employees feel valued and supported.
One of the biggest challenges for Frisco ISD’s future is managing declining enrollment while maintaining high academic standards and efficient use of facilities. The district has already done excellent work with demographic studies, long-range facility planning, and community engagement. To address these challenges, we should continue using data-driven enrollment projections, adjusting staffing and resources to meet student needs, and collaborating with city planners and community stakeholders to anticipate changes. By combining these strategies with flexibility and careful planning, Frisco ISD can respond effectively to enrollment shifts, optimize facility usage, and continue providing all students with a well-supported education.
Frisco ISD should continue building on its commitment to innovation by developing clear policies for responsible use of artificial intelligence, new educational technology, and evolving teaching methods. The district already provides technology integration support, digital learning resources, and professional development for teachers. Moving forward, policies should ensure AI and emerging tools are used ethically, safely, and equitably to enhance learning, protect student data, and support academic integrity. Guidelines for classroom implementation, teacher training, and student digital citizenship will help maximize benefits while minimizing risks.
My plan for managing the Frisco ISD budget builds on the district’s strong history of financial stewardship. I will prioritize transparency, data-driven decisions, and careful monitoring of enrollment, staffing, and operational costs to allocate resources efficiently. Collaborating with leadership, I will evaluate programs for effectiveness and ensure funds directly support student learning. Engaging the community in budget priorities will promote accountability and trust. By combining prudent financial management with strategic planning and ongoing collaboration, we can maintain a balanced budget, address fiscal challenges proactively, and sustain Frisco ISD’s tradition of excellence for students and staff.
To ensure parents, staff, and community members are heard, I will build on Frisco ISD’s existing practices of open communication, public forums, surveys, and community engagement initiatives. I will encourage participation through advisory committees, and online feedback channels, ensuring diverse perspectives are considered in every decision. By maintaining transparency about how input influences policies and decisions, and by collaborating closely with educators, families, and community stakeholders, we can strengthen trust and accountability. Continuing these practices while seeking new opportunities for engagement will ensure that Frisco ISD decisions reflect the needs and priorities of the entire community.
her key issues for Frisco ISD include enrollment shifts, teacher retention, financial stability, and equitable access to programs. Building on the district’s strong budget management, professional development, and community engagement, I will use data-driven planning, collaborate with leadership to support educators, maintain transparency, and advocate for initiatives that ensure all students have high-quality learning opportunities, sustaining excellence, equity, and stability for students, staff, and the community.

My motivation to run for the school board stems from my experience volunteering as a daily crossing guard for many years, I demonstrated unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of our children, rain or shine. Every day, I brought energy, dedication, and consistency to my role, with a smile and a friendly word. I will carry that same passion, enthusiasm, and spirit to the board, working tirelessly to serve and support our FISD community. These attributes will help me listen to parents, and make informed decisions on the board. I am fully prepared and qualified to serve on the FISD school board.
Student and staff safety is my cornerstone. I will champion proactive threat assessments and a positive climate that firmly combats bullying. Physical security must be modern and regularly reviewed to ensure our campuses are hardened against threats. Mental health support is vital; I advocate for accessible resources and trauma-informed care that respect the primary role of the family.

In strict alignment with SB 12, I will ensure all wellness checks and screenings require explicit parental consent. Every student deserves a safe, thriving space where their emotional and physical well-being is prioritized. By combining physical security with transparent parental partnerships, I will ensure every child feels secure and supported.
I aim to shift FISD from "autopsy-style" testing to a model of real-time academic growth. Success should not be measured by a single year-end score that arrives too late to help the student. I champion the Student Success Tool (SST), which provides through-year check-ins with 48-hour feedback loops. This allows teachers to identify gaps and intervene immediately.

For advanced learners, I will improve outcomes by advocating for Test Substitutions (SAT/AP), reclaiming instructional time lost to redundant prep. I will also track the expansion of the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) to ensure students learn from our highest-rated educators. My goal is a district where data serves the student, ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
To recruit and retain talent, we must transform FISD into a Professional Sanctuary. Beyond pay, I champion a "bell-to-bell" cellphone ban to eliminate distractions, allowing teachers to focus on instruction. We must also ensure firm, equal enforcement of the Student Code of Conduct so every employee feels safe and respected.

I will maximize the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA), enabling our best educators to reach six-figure salaries while staying in the classroom. Finally, I will launch Trustee Listening Tours to hear directly from staff, removing the "red tape" and administrative burdens that cause burnout. By respecting their time and authority, we make Frisco the premier destination for educators.
Low enrollment in maturing neighborhoods is a critical challenge. We must pivot from building new to optimizing existing assets. I will address this by advocating for Magnet Schools and specialized academies within under-utilized campuses. By offering unique, high-demand programs—such as advanced STEM, Fine Arts, or CTE—we can attract students and revitalize enrollment.

I also support transparent rezoning to balance the load between over-capacity and under-enrolled campuses. As an independent, self-funded Trustee, I will push for "Capacity Audits" to prioritize repurposing space over new debt. My goal is to maintain excellence at every FISD campus while protecting our district's long-term fiscal health.
As a candidate, I view AI as a powerful co-pilot for our educators, not a replacement. My policy focuses on using technology to restore the "Professional Sanctuary" by automating administrative burdens like lesson drafting, giving teachers more time for student engagement.

Innovation must never bypass parental rights. In alignment with SB 12, I will mandate informed consent before any AI-driven behavioral or mental health tools are used. I will ensure compliance with the Texas Responsible AI Governance Act, requiring vendors to guarantee student data is never used to train third-party models. We must teach students to use AI for mentorship and critical thinking, not as a shortcut, while keeping parents in the driver's seat.
To address fiscal challenges, we must shift from expansion to strategic optimization. To address the projected $28.6 million deficit, I prioritize needs-based budgeting and independent oversight. I support right-sizing our district by retiring or repurposing under-utilized facilities into Magnet Schools to revitalize enrollment and save millions.

As a self-funded candidate, I will scrutinize spending to ensure classroom resources remain the priority. By using strategic attrition to balance staffing and advocating for a transparent "Taxpayer Dashboard," I will protect our fiscal health without compromising academic excellence. My goal is to ensure FISD remains a premier district through disciplined, common-sense financial leadership.
I will ensure all stakeholders are heard by replacing "top-down" management with active, decentralized engagement. I will launch Trustee Listening Tours to hear candidly from staff without administrative filters and hold Town Hall Workshops at local campuses to discuss major decisions like rezoning and budgeting.

For parents, I will advocate for a Digital Transparency Dashboard to show how their input shaped Board votes. For taxpayers, I will champion a Citizen Budget Advisory Committee to provide independent oversight on spending. As a self-funded Trustee, my priority is creating a "Professional Sanctuary" where every voice—from the classroom to the kitchen table—is respected and reflected in our policies.
I will ensure our Special Education students are at the heart of FISD’s "Professional Sanctuary." I will address evaluation backlogs by prioritizing enrolled students over external voucher-seekers and advocate for specialized safety training for staff to protect neurodivergent learners from bullying.

To restore academic excellence, I will eliminate "waterfall" grading in favor of the Student Success Tool, providing the 48-hour feedback needed to adjust IEP accommodations instantly. As a self-funded Trustee, I will fight for a Uniform Grading Policy that reflects true mastery for every child. My goal is a district where SpEd resources are protected, and every student is held to a standard of excellence that honors their unique potential.
