I am a mother, advocate, and community member who understands firsthand how local government impacts family needs- especially those navigating complex needs. As a stay- at - home mom to a child with special needs, I have spent years coordinating services, advocating systems, managing budgets, and building relationships with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations. I have a heart for helping people and I see theTrustee position as a tremendous opportunity to advocate for those struggling and to provide assistance if possible. My husband and I have lived in the Huntertown area for 28 years and are transitioning to being empty- nesters- so I am ready for something new.
A Trustee should be a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars with clear transparent reporting, careful budgeting and oversight, striving to eliminate waste while protecting services. The Trustee should provide dignity in assistance ensuring services are accessible/clearly communicated and improving coordination with nonprofits and service providers. The Trustee should provide community partnerships with local schools, churches and nonprofits and bring practical problem solving to any needs that arise.
I would like to establish a website to eliminate any confusion with the processes involved with relief and expedite the whole process strengthening collaboration and avoiding duplication and inefficiency. It would be great to have this information and necessary forms easily available online.

Currently there is no community center in our area and I would like to assist in providing a space for meetings and recreational shelters near parks.
