Married 48 years to my high school sweetheart. Published articles about the practices of our Appraisal District, established a petition drive to elect, not appoint Chief Appraiser. Participant and speaker in core group successfully resisting Blackfin Compression Station placement. Supporter of area shelter and homeless ministries. Supporter of animal rescues with 15 of our own over the years.
38-year professional career in Oil, Gas, Energy. Created successful project management and infrastructure renewal programs used to train leaders and assist major corporations. Developed risk assessment programs for early evaluation of proposals, large projects and budgets, $100M-$2B. As a Senior Director, I have experience working on a governing board to manage what an entire city will require.
Lack of coordinated leadership and the impact of uncontrolled development. My long-term career has given me the experience and skills to work with others and to manage large-scale capital improvements, infrastructure, and budgeting, especially Conroe’s needed water/sewer requirements and current debt load. We have many challenges; I'm developing planning for how to move forward, not just rhetoric.
Our local responders constantly train for an increasing range of emergencies and coordinate with county and state agencies. Our Blackfin compression station resistance group identified key hazards and response issues with the proposed location and coordinated our efforts with MOCO to improve emergency response. Public education and area communication will be vital factors in future improvements.
Being accessible, engaging personally with citizens and businesses above and beyond council chambers, town halls and social media. There are approximately 8000 Conroe businesses on the tax rolls, yet there has been little feedback solicited, no lessons-learned. I’m also engaging with key county officials to establish open and clear communication on our mutually beneficial planning and projects.
Born on base to a Veteran, I’m a Conroe High and SHSU (Cum Laude) grad. As a mom, wife, and church volunteer, my roots here are deep. Professionally, I bridge the gap between small business management and high-tech fields like AI and Data Science. I am an animal advocate and an investigative thinker. I’m not a politician; I’m your neighbor, offering authenticity and a servant’s heart.
I offer 15 years of Geospatial (GIS) experience, using data—not rhetoric—to drive decisions. Growing up here, I understand Conroe’s unique culture. My background in data architecture and AI allows me to navigate complex systems, while my years running a local political blog and advocating for citizens have given me a front-row seat to the specific policy shifts our city requires.
City Hall Restructure: We must move from a reactive culture to a proactive "servant spirit," prioritizing smarter management and stable, transparent permitting policies. Managed Growth: Growth requires data-driven infrastructure. I support restructuring business operations to ensure City Hall works for the citizens and small businesses, not against them.
Resiliency starts with our first responders. I will prioritize pay parity, modern equipment, and industry-standard training for police and fire. Beyond personnel, we must establish and practice rigorous, tiered procedures for varying emergency levels. Moving from a legal-defense posture to a prepared, action-oriented plan is essential to keeping our families safe.
It’s time to end the "legal-first" era of communication. I will restore relationships with county officials and local businesses by choosing proactive dialogue over reactive litigation. I’ll engage the community through transparent updates and collaborative forums, ensuring the City is a partner, not an obstacle, to our neighbors and surrounding regional authorities.
