Allen County Auditor

The auditor is elected for a four-year term and is prohibited from serving more than two terms in 12 years. The auditor serves as secretary of the board of commissioners and County Council. Duties of the auditor include keeping the counties accounts, issuing warrants for the payment of claims, tracking of all budgets for county expenditures, preparation of an annual report accounting for all money spent within the year as well as balancing all county funds with the treasurer. Preparing calculations on real estate abatement and TIF. Preparing budgets for the county and receiving budgets from each taxing unit.
