Fall Creek Township Board
I stepped into this position on the board when someone stepped down due to illness. I love giving back to my local community and feel like our township helps those in need during tough times.
To help those in need of housing, shelter and food. Although not required, we also have a community supported food pantry and we financially support and provide quality fire protection and EMS services to the areas served by the township. We also maintain buildings, cemeteries and Fall Creek Township Park.
Providing financial assistance for those in need of housing shelter or food. We are confronted with an aging population in our area where we can help with both physical and mental health challenges.
Living in Fall Creek Township for over 25 years, I want our community to succeed. I want our local taxes to stay low and I want our schools to succeed on a national basis, while helping our residents in need.
I have always given back by volunteering my time in our schools and most recently by helping get conservatives elected in our community. I will continue to try to keep our taxes low in our township and support our Trustee in his endeavors to keep Fall Creek Township beautiful and the best area to live in Hamilton County!

I am seeking elected office to enhance the essential services available to our residents. This must be done transparently and efficiently. Our taxpayers deserve to feel confident that their elected servant leaders are maximizing assistance to support the community and our neighbors.
Townships have served various purposes over the last 200 years. However, today the main purpose of Township Government is to provide essential services to the Township residents. Most commonly, this can include financial assistance with topics such as food, shelter, and utilities. Many townships also offer fire protection to all residents. Township Government has a responsibility to properly and efficiently manage taxpayers’ funds to facilitate these services to all residents within the Township.
One of the most pressing needs in the Township is transparently managing the budget while maintaining the essential services to residents. Especially with incoming hurdles like potentially decreased municipal funding from recent legislative efforts, this is a great opportunity to dive into our budget to identify calculated options to balance costs with essential services. Our residents still deserve our services; we’ll just have to be strategic.
My professional career has revolved around healthcare and collaborating with executives and businesses around Indiana from various industries. However, I am also a dedicated servant leader. In my over 15 leadership roles I have held over 20 years, I understand the most important voice is not my own, but those that I serve. My background has helped shape a financially collaborative and service-focused perspective. Especially as a healthcare worker, my passion is always to serve others and do what is possible to improve the health and well-being of our community.
While I have been honored to serve in over 15 leadership roles and learned through various organizations, some of the most pertinent that have helped prepare me for this position includes the Hamilton County Leadership Academy, the Indiana Latino Leadership Circle, and serving as the previous Vice President and President of my previous HOA. While all contributing to my preparation in different ways, they have helped shape me as the ideal candidate for the Fall Creek Township Board.

I believe local government plays a vital role in supporting residents’ daily needs, and I want to contribute my time and skills to help maintain and improve those services.
The purpose of township government is to provide local, accessible services managed by people who live in the community and understand its unique needs better than anyone else.
The most pressing needs are maintaining essential services and managing growth without raising property taxes. I will prioritize efficient budgeting, improve communication with residents, and collaborate with local partners to ensure services meet community needs responsibly.
I bring a commitment to inclusivity, ensuring all voices are heard. My skills in collaboration and communication will support the Trustee and township government in making fair, community-focused decisions.
My years volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters and serving as President of the Young Professionals Club for Best Buddies have strengthened my leadership, communication, and community-building skills. These experiences have prepared me to serve effectively on the Township Board.

I have a long history of service to my nation and to people. I want to continue that service with running for this office. I feel my experience in government and community makes me an ideal candidate for the Township board. I have a long history of community service and service to youth. As well as an understanding of the running of government functions and finance.
Township government is the closest form of government to the people of the community. A major function is poor relief and with the state closing most townships, I want to make sure this function is properly transferred to the City of Fishers. Our township has also developed a park, and again, I want to make sure this is meshed into the Fishers or State park systems.
The most pressing need is going to be the orderly shutdown of the Township and transfer of functions to the City of Fishers. While working in the Air Force, I wrote a plan for the merger of two major commands into one. The plan covered 85,000 people all over the world in the areas of Research and Development and Logistics. The plan was adopted and implemented within six months.
I fear that with declining revenue, cities are going to look for ways to decrease spending, and one way will be to cut township functions. I will be a loud voice to maintain these functions.
As an engineer, I look for the easy way to solve problems and the most effective way to approach them. At one point in the Air Force, the head of our administration group announced one morning, "Today I am leaving." At the time, I was the Technical Assistant to the Air Force Chief Engineer, and I was asked to take over the function until they found a replacement and continuing in my position. It took two years to find that replacement. About 1 1/2 years into this function we were notified of a full fiscal audit. The first audit in 30 years. At the end of the audit, the report was made to the 3-star commander and the Chief Engineer. The auditor started out with "We have never seen an audit such as this." "69 million budget and the total was off by 10 cents." Your the first to ever obtain an "Outstanding" on a first audit. Early in my career, I proposed changing the way aircraft and spacecraft were designed. This was adopted world-wide. When you buckle your seat belt, say thank you Joe
29 1/2 years in service to our nation in the Air Force and at very high levels, including interface with members of Congress, served on national industry/ government committees, including the UN. City of Centerville OH, Planning and Zoning Board. Former head of the Democratic Party for Hamilton County. I was nominated by Gov. Braun and appointed by President Biden to be on the Indiana Selective Service Board for Indiana, and recently notified I am now the Chair of the Board for Hamilton County. I have been on two National Committees of the Boy Scouts of America for many years and am currently on the AARP National Fraud Team to help people who are victims of fraud. In Ohio, I was also the head of a statewide organization for craftspeople. Upon retirement from the Air Force, I opened an Apple Computer store and in 3 years, grew to the 13th largest in the nation. Apple adopted several of the things we were doing, including one still in effect in all their stores - the Genius Bar.
