Conroe is my home, and I'm passionate about giving back. I've invested time in understanding the municipal court system by engaging with elected officials and judges at municipal, county, and state levels. Shadowing judges has enriched my understanding of the municipal judge role, transforming my interest from something I thought I wanted into something I am now determined to pursue.
My background in small business accounting, substitute teaching, and community service brings a unique blend of life experiences to this role. My analytical abilities aid in case interpretation, and my attention to detail ensures thorough evaluations. Teaching enhanced my communication skills. Shadowing a municipal judge has deepened my understanding, and my ethical dedication ensures fairness.
The most critical quality for a judge is impartiality. This allows decisions to be made based on facts and laws, free from personal biases or outside influences, thereby ensuring fairness and integrity. I demonstrate impartiality by consistently approaching conflicts with an open mind, valuing facts over opinions, and listening carefully to all perspectives before drawing conclusions.
This office is vital to our constituents by providing essential services and acting as a bridge between the community and government. We ensure residents' voices are heard and their needs effectively addressed. To improve, we plan to enhance communication channels and increase outreach programs, ensuring each person entering the courtroom is fully aware of their rights.
To ensure equal justice, I will communicate clearly, educate the public on legal rights, maintain fair hearing practices, engage with community organizations, and continuously review court practices. These steps will ensure the court is inclusive and fair for everyone in Conroe.
To address a backlog of cases, I will actively manage cases by establishing consistent weekly dockets and remaining available for warrants as needed. Collaborating with court staff and counsel, I'll efficiently utilize resources to reduce delays and resolve cases fairly and promptly. Additionally, I'll explore an amnesty program to expedite certain charge resolutions.
Born and raised in Needville, Texas where I discovered my passion for law and policy in Speech and Debate at Needville High School. I know what it takes to be calm, steady, and fair to all. I know the law and ethics of what it takes to be Municipal Judge, and I hope to inspire the younger generations to begin stepping up into leadership roles across the county.
I graduated George Mason University with a Government and International Politics degree with a minor in Legal Studies. I also helped create and pass legislation when I worked in the Texas House Committee on State Affairs in the Texas House of Representatives. I also worked at a law firm as a legal assistant at Reddy & Neumann P.C. I am the most experienced and qualified candidate in this race.
The most critical quality for a judge is impartiality, ensuring justice is based solely on facts, evidence, and law, without bias or favoritism, to uphold fairness and community trust.
I've demonstrated this through my work as a U.S. House field representative and caseworker, assisting diverse constituents objectively, and as Director of the Kevin Brady Community Center, serving all equally.
The Conroe Municipal Judge office is essential for constituents, handling local ordinances, traffic, and misdemeanors to ensure community safety, fair justice, and law and order.
I will advocate for a part-time associate judge to clear backlogs efficiently and save taxes, apply fiscal conservatism amid growth, and deliver impartial rulings that prioritize accountability and rehabilitation
By upholding the rule of law impartially, basing every ruling on facts and evidence alone, without bias or favoritism. I'll ensure efficient court operations to minimize delays, provide clear access to resources (such as community service options), and treat all individuals with dignity, fostering trust and accountability for the people of Conroe.
I would first assess the backlog to identify bottlenecks. Then, advocate to City Council for a part-time associate judge to handle cases efficiently without full-time costs, which would save taxpayer dollars. Finally, I would try to have more frequent and consistent night court opportunities, giving the people the ability to handle their minor court business outside of normal working hours.
I have served 43 years as a pastor in small rural churches, middle-sized culturally diverse churches, and large suburban churches. I retired from full-time ministry after serving as Senior Pastor at West Conroe Baptist Church for 25 years.

To uphold the law while treating people fairly and with dignity.
This office is probably the first experience someone has had with the court. I want them to feel that they have been heard and treated fairly.
I would apply the law equally without bias or prejudice. I would be mindful of any mitigating circumstances that would affect the application of justice.
Because I am retired I have the ability to spend extra time in seeing that cases are handled expeditiously.
