I have worked in the oil and gas industry, in the logistics and purchasing field for 15 years. In 2015, my wife and I moved to Magnolia. I have a passion for applying professional experience and skills to serve the community in making well-informed decisions about the future growth of Magnolia. I enjoy spending time with my wife, working on classic cars as well as DIY projects around the house.
After serving two terms on city council, I feel this experience provided a foundational understanding of how government functions, which is critical for effective leadership at the mayoral level. A well-informed leader can better advocate for policies that serve the community’s long-term interests.
Aging infrastructure (water/sewer/roads). I will continue to communicate with TxDot to stay on track regarding FM1488 expansion. Rapid growth. I will continue working with developers to ensure that infrastructure and community needs are addressed.
Right now, our current staff is prepared to handle any emergencies that may occur. From our Public works Director to our Chief of Police, we have an excellent group of City employees ready to serve.
I’ll continue to meet with business owners and attend community events to listen to concerns and ideas. I will stay in touch with MISD and Pct 2 Commissioner about any interlocal agreements.
Christopher Blair is proud to call Magnolia home. A 1997 graduate of Magnolia High School, Christopher grew up in this community and learned early on the values that make our town special — hard work, integrity, and neighbors looking out for one another. Today, he’s raising his family here and building a future right alongside the people he hopes to serve as Mayor.
Christopher runs a thriving small business, creating jobs and contributing to Magnolia’s local economy. As a business owner, he understands:
The challenges local businesses face
The importance of responsible budgeting
How to make smart, practical decisions
The value of customer service and accountability
He believes City Hall should operate with the same discipline, transparency, and efficiency.
The two most important challenges facing Magnolia are rapid growth & securing reliable fresh water. We must require responsible planning before approving major developments & support smart zoning that balances residential, retail, & green space. As Magnolia grows, we must ensure transparent communication about water capacity and future needs as well as investing in updated water infrastructure.
Our roads, utilities, and public systems must keep pace with development. We must:
-Prioritize road repairs and expansions
-Improve traffic flow at major intersections
-Plan infrastructure upgrades before approving large projects
-Seek grants and outside funding to reduce the tax burden
-Create a long-term infrastructure master plan
I believe communication should be open, consistent, & two-way. Residents deserve to know what their city leadership is doing & to have real opportunities to share their ideas and concerns. I will prioritize regular communication with residents. That includes community town halls, both in-person & online, where citizens can ask questions & be informed about city projects, budgets, & decisions.
I’ve lived in Magnolia since 1999 and spent more than two decades serving our community through City Council, major infrastructure projects, park development, and historic preservation. Magnolia is my home, and I’m committed to protecting its character while preparing it for the future.
I’ve managed over $12M in city infrastructure projects, served on key planning and zoning boards, and built successful multi‑million‑dollar businesses. My experience ensures responsible budgeting, long‑term planning, and steady leadership.
Magnolia’s biggest challenges are managing rapid growth and addressing critical water and infrastructure needs. I support stronger planning standards, responsible development, and long‑term water, sewer, and flood‑control solutions.
We must plan infrastructure before growth, ensuring adequate water, sewer, drainage, and emergency access. Better coordination, stronger standards, and proactive planning reduce strain on police, fire, and essential services.
I believe in open, direct communication, bringing citizens, businesses, and officials together to solve problems. I’ll maintain an open‑door policy and work closely with county partners, developers, and local organizations.
