The City of Magnolia is a Type A General Law City. The City Council is comprised of a Mayor and five City Council members. The City Council serves as the governing body for the City. Council member responsibilities include: adopting the annual budget, levying taxes, enacting local legislation and setting policies. City Council positions are elected and are at-large positions. I have a background in business management as well as 14 years in municipal government.
14 years experience in municipal government operation and budgeting.
Growth and infrastructure. Sound budgeting will accommodate both if done correctly.
I have not witnessed any recent issues in response to emergencies but we should always be prepared.
Having been an elected official previously I am familiar with most of the other elected officials and community organizations. I have always been open to communicating and meeting withe them.
