Affordability in Indiana Protecting our Children and Communities Protecting our Public and Organized Workers
I'm not a career politician, I'm a husband, father of two, and a retired police officer who dedicated my life to serving the community. I've worked on the streets to keep families safe, support victims and hold offenders accountable. That experience taught me what families truly face: rising costs, strained services, and the need for real public safety solutions. As a father, I'll fight for strong public schools and living wages for teachers. I'm running to serve working families, not special interests, and to bring integrity, accountability, and common sense to leadership in District 15.
Enhancing service quality during budget reductions is a balancing act that requires discipline and smart prioritization, not across the board cuts. We must protect our core services like public safety, public health, and public education while performing audits to eliminate waste and redundancies. Investing in modern technology can improve accuracy and efficiency, creating long term savings. Giving front-line employees the ability to identify inefficiencies strengthens service delivery, and clear accountability metrics ensure taxpayer dollars produce meaningful measurable results. Budget challenges should drive smarter, more effective government, not weaker services.
If elected to represent District 15, I will maintain an open-door policy to ensure every constituent feels heard and valued. I encourage residents to contact my office by phone or email with any questions, concerns, or ideas. If you see me in the community, whether at the grocery store or enjoying a cup of coffee, please feel free to introduce yourself. I welcome those conversations and the opportunity to listen. In addition, I will host regular town hall meetings to provide a constructive forum for discussing issues affecting Northwest Indiana and the matters before us in the state legislature. My commitment is to remain accessible, transparent, and responsive to the people of District 15.
Indiana’s biggest challenge is strengthening our economy while balancing the rising costs of utilities, housing, healthcare, and childcare. If elected to represent District 15, I will invest in workforce development by partnering with schools, colleges, employers, and unions to expand training in high-demand fields like manufacturing, technology, healthcare and the trades.
I would implement policies that expand and incentivize affordable housing, strengthen food access by protecting SNAP and supporting local food banks and farmers, and increase affordable childcare through tax credits and workforce support for childcare providers. Wages must rise to keep pace with the cost of living, and unnecessary fees and taxes that strain household budgets should be reduced. Essential services should be accessible, efficient, and designed to help families thrive not merely get by. Working families deserve stability, opportunity, and a fair chance to succeed.
