Vanderburgh County Auditor
The Auditor is the principal financial officer in County Government and fiscal officer of the county. The Auditor keeps ledgers and records affecting County funds and serves as secretary to the Board of Commissioners and the County Council. As part of the tax function, the Auditor maintain plats showing ownership and assessed valuation of each parcel in the county and is responsible for accepting and applying deductions on properties and preparing tax duplicates that show the value of property and taxes assessed against each taxpayer.

I was caucused in, in 2025 and the current auditor. I became the chief deputy Auditor in 2022. I have been involved in county government for over 29 years starting out in the Clerk's office working my way up to Chief Deputy. This position deserves someone with experience like mine in handling a $140 million dollar budget and having a good working relationship with other officials, departments and staff. I am hands on in every aspect of the day to day operations which makes me qualified for the position. This job is not to be taken lightly and requires a lot of time and dedication.
Keep a balanced budget for Vanderburgh County and to ensure deductions and homesteads are being reported properly to reduce the amount of corrected tax bills.
I am someone who puts the county first in my decision making. My goal is to ensure that tax dollars are being spent wisely and properly. This is not an easy task when dealing with 40 plus departments on a daily basis but I do my best.
