You won’t hear me say that there isn’t anyone more qualified. What you’ll hear me say is that I am tired of struggling teachers, hungry children, disrespected workers, and people scrapping by to survive. Raleigh is failing us and it didn’t seem like anyone else wanted to run. So, I decided that a regular working class person like myself should do it.
Fighting to make life easier for my fellow working class North Carolinians. Empowering our workers so they can get better pay and conditions. Funding our public schools, so that every child in this state is afforded the option of a sound education. Creating a single payer healthcare system to ensure that North Carolinians are no longer forced to die from preventable conditions. There are so many things we have to do.
Speak to experts in education and see what they are saying. We already know we need to raise pay and benefits to attract talent to our public schools. We should reduce our dependency on tech in the classroom so student can learn and retain information better. Hiring more teachers so we can shrink class sizes and allow teachers to better serve their students.
How else will the government pay for the services that so many North Carolinians rely on? We should stop the further erasure of corporate taxes in this state. We should also bring back the progressive income tax. Wealthy people and corporations need to pay their fair share.
Expanding community and emergency response services. Officers should be focused on preventing and investigating violent crimes. We should increase access to mental healthcare, create strong public transit networks, and enable people to actively participate in their communities. Taking steps like adding licensed mental health professionals to our police departments so that there are people who can help in situations that may not require to force police offer.

Rockingham County is home. It is where I grew up, attended school, and where Stephanie and I are raising our four children. I attended Morehead High School and Rockingham Community College before earning degrees from UNC Greensboro and Regent University School of Law. Nearly two decades as an attorney and local business owner have taught me to listen, solve difficult problems, manage budgets, and take responsibility for results. I also provide pro bono counsel to police officers on matters arising from their official duties, and my firm employs attorneys who represent indigent clients. I will bring that commitment to service, conservative judgment, and practical experience to serving the people I am proud to call my neighbors.
My top priority is making it more affordable to live, work, and raise a family in Rockingham County. As a father of four and a local business owner, I want our children to find good opportunities here at home. I will work to control state spending, lower costs for families and small businesses, and strengthen connections among our schools, Rockingham Community College, and local employers so students can move into good-paying jobs. I will also support law enforcement and first responders and push for dependable roads, water, sewer, and broadband for rural residents. I will work with anyone who can help deliver those results and judge every proposal by what it actually does for the people of this county.
North Carolina should fund the basics well: competitive teacher pay, classroom supplies, safe facilities, strong literacy and math instruction, discipline, and student safety. Parents deserve transparency and a meaningful voice in their children's education. We should expand career and technical education, apprenticeships, industry credentials, dual enrollment, and partnerships with Rockingham Community College so every student has a path to college, skilled work, military service, or entrepreneurship. Funding should reflect local needs and be tied to measurable student growth and career readiness. Strong public schools and responsible school choice can coexist. The goal is simple: help each child succeed.
Tax policy should let families keep more of what they earn, help small businesses invest and hire, and fund core public responsibilities. I support a competitive, predictable tax climate, protection of private property, and close scrutiny of spending before asking taxpayers for more. Tax cuts and incentives should be judged by results such as jobs, wages, investment, and value for taxpayers, not political headlines. North Carolina should avoid one-size-fits-all mandates that hit rural employers and local governments hardest. I will support transparent, accountable investments in schools, public safety, infrastructure, and workforce development while opposing waste, favoritism, and unfunded promises.
Safer communities require firm accountability and prevention. I would support measures that help recruit and retain law enforcement officers, paramedics, 911 telecommunicators, and firefighters; modernize equipment and communications; and combat violent crime, trafficking, child exploitation, and dangerous drugs. I support cooperation with federal immigration authorities and oppose sanctuary policies. We should protect due process, victims, and the rights of law-abiding citizens, including the Second Amendment. Treatment and recovery programs should be available where they reduce repeat emergencies and crime, with outcomes measured honestly. Public safety should remain a shared responsibility, not a partisan slogan.
People are tired of being told they must choose between principles and progress. I am a conservative: I believe in protecting innocent life, religious liberty, parental rights, the Second Amendment, elections that are secure and trusted, free enterprise, private property, and government that lives within its means. I will be clear about those convictions. I also believe public office requires listening, explaining decisions honestly, and working with people who disagree when we can produce a better result for our neighbors. I will represent all of District 65, not only those who voted for me. I will reject political theater and partisan extremes from either side and judge legislation by constitutional principles, local impact, affordability, and measurable results. Rockingham County needs a representative who will show up, do the homework, and keep its needs in front of Raleigh.
