Policymaking and legislative authority is vested in the Board of Commissioners, which consists of seven members. The Board of Commissioners is responsible, among other things, for passing resolutions, adopting the budget, appointing committees and hiring the county's chief administrative officer. The board is elected within their respective districts.

We need to do this differently, Families need to be able to stay in their home , and be able to provide the basics. By raising property taxes and valuations, this raises the Monthly house payment Making it harder to raise a family. My plan is a staggered increase that won't disrupt a family's way of life, instead of a one and done increase that we see currently.
We have been put in a position that needs a solution, The blame game is over. I am the only candidate that deals with the problems involving juvenile issues. As a Commissioner, I will work to rectify the problem , get the property used , and quit spending money on an empty Juvenile center.
Mental Health for our residents has always been a concern, In my 30 years of Service I have seen the system fail us. I believe we need to make Mental health assistance more available, in a residential type setting. Offering our clients, a safe and dignified treatment program. By working with local partners I believe we can do this.
Accountability for our tax dollars: Where is it going, and where can I see results. Sub standard roads and bridges is something we all see. but never seems to get rectified. I want my constituents to see a tangible difference in their community, and know that money is well spent when it improves the lives of Douglas County residents.
