Education
Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice and Masters Degree in Public Administration from Southwest Texas (change if you want)
Experience
I started in Juvenile Probation from 1986-1995 when I left to start one of the country's first pilot for delinquency prevention in Seguin. This small non profit has changed the paths of thousands of students and recently celebrated our 30th anniversary. I have served as the Justice of the Peace Pct 2 since 2011 and hope to serve for as long as our Pct. 2 residents will have me.

My background of 15 years experience as the Justice of the Peace, Pct 2 is invaluable but I believe what enables me to be effective is my passion to serve and treat people right. Our court is for the people, so to me it's important to be knowledgeable and fair but sensitive, attentive, engaged and informative. Our court is the most effective and cost-efficient court in Guadalupe County. Effective also means providing resources, quick civil suit resolutions, and upon closure that everyone knows the how, what and why about their case. Our office has an extensive case management system that provides the most effective process for each case.
Absolutely to maintain and continue with our ability to operate a top-notch court! As the judge, I process, set, and hear each civil case that has increased from 25 a month to over 100 filings and bench trials in the past year. It is definitely not the time to start over. Not only is the wheel not broken and need fixing, are wheel is greased up and ready to roll another 15 years. In addition, I work very hard and this is not a job, career, or retirement for me. It is my passion and my purpose. I would be honored to just continue to be your judge forever!
I have developed the most amazing, effective, and efficient docket I would guess that's the best in the state. That is not bragging, but because I function at high and fast levels, I do my own work. I am blessed with the ability to accomplish more in less time than most. You will catch me reorganizing the storage cabinet before you ever catch me sitting down. My sit down time is at the bench, 30 cases and done in an hour. Unique and efficient with a friendly attitude that has people paying tickets and leaving with a smile :)
