10+ years working in city government, helping neighbors; 10+ years guiding amazing teams through change and getting things done; 14+ years of professional experience in information organization, access, and security, including a Master's degree in Library and Information Sciences; Born and raised in Amarillo; Always focused on community first.
District Clerks are essential to maintaining and securing accurate court records and providing excellent service to community members and professionals interacting with the courts through jury duty and records access.

If elected and honored with Potter County community trust, my first goal will be to ensure a smooth transition into the role, while creating as little negative impact for community members and court employees as possible. I also understand that there has been a great deal of turnover and disruption to this team, so I expect to dedicate time to stabilizing and re-motivating the department.

This role is so integral to court operations that I am surprised that it is an elected position AND that the election is partisan rather than skills-focused. There is potential to disrupt essential Potter County services with this process. Throughout my campaign, I hope to bring awareness to the disconnect of electing a position that requires high technical knowledge and experience.

I have eagerly served Potter County for over 24 years. I held the position of Chief Deputy in the County Clerk's office for 17 years, and then in 2021, I was unanimously appointed to the office of District Clerk by our 5 District Judges to fulfill the unexpired term of Carly Snider. In 2022, I was elected by the voters to the office of District Clerk. With this widespread experience comes extensive organizational information, proven leadership and a deep understanding of the judicial system.
The District Clerk's office is the keeper of records, and making those records easily accessible is of utmost importance. My goal as District Clerk is to continue making our office more efficient and more accessible to the public by updating to the latest technology. Through my decades of experience, I understand the needs of the citizens of Potter County, the litigants, the attorneys, the bondsmen, the jurors and the Judges and how each one interacts with the District Clerk's office. It is truly an honor for me and my staff to serve the citizens of Potter County, and to continually strive to be the very best we can be.
