Your address indicates you live within the town limits of Swansea District 4.POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Town of Swansea has a nonpartisan council form of government, including the at-large mayor and 4 council members from single-member districts who serve 4-year terms. The mayor and council members have equal votes and are responsible for making policy and enacting laws. To serve as Mayor or Council Member a person must be a resident of the town or city, at least 18 years of age and registered to vote. This special election is for one position on the town council, for District 4.EARLY VOTING: If you prefer to vote prior to February 17, you can vote during a two-week early voting period, beginning Monday, February 2 and ending Friday, February 13 at the County Voter Registration Office: 605 West Main Street, Lexington, SC 29072.ABSENTEE VOTING: Or you may be eligible to vote absentee by mail.
