I have a B.S. in Computer Science & Art; master's degrees in Business, Health Informatics, and Public Administration; & a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction-Learning, Design, & Technology. I currently work at The Princeton Review and teach at The University of Houston. I believe my educational & professional experience makes me uniquely qualified to tackle the most pressing issues: accessible, affordable healthcare, high-quality public education, and an economy that works for all Texans.
I believe that the two most pressing issues I’ll face in office are protecting public education and restoring access to quality affordable, accessible healthcare. I will fight for full, fair school funding, higher teacher pay, and limits on the state’s takeover authority, while also championing policies that invest in early intervention and wraparound services. Texas continues to rank in the bottom when it comes to access to healthcare, mental health services, and maternal health. We must ensure all individuals can access affordable, quality healthcare, and I’ll fight for Medicaid expansion, funding for community clinics and mental health care, and policies grounded in data, not ideology.
In Fort Bend, one of the fastest-growing counties in Texas, improving quality of life means helping families keep up with rising costs while our community grows. I’ll fight to expand Medicaid, increase access to affordable community health and mental-health programs, and bring state resources home for affordable housing and workforce development programs. I support increasing wages and practical, people-centered solutions that help Fort Bend families stay housed, healthy, and financially secure.
I am a 18 year Texas attorney with extensive experience analyzing laws, resolving disputes, and advocating for individuals, families, and small businesses. My legal training and practice have prepared me to evaluate policy impacts carefully and work within established rules and procedures. In addition, my continued involvement in community and different organizations has given me direct insight into the needs of residents across the district.
The two most pressing issues are protecting public education and addressing affordability for working families. I will oppose voucher schemes and fight to fully fund public schools, increase teacher pay, reduce classroom overcrowding, and expand student support services. I will also work to lower property taxes responsibly by expanding homestead exemptions and ensuring large corporations pay their fair share, while investing in grid reliability and strong consumer protections so families can keep more of what they earn.
In Texas, rising housing costs, property taxes, and access to quality public services most affect lower-income families. I will fight to fully fund public schools, expand homestead and senior property tax exemptions, and oppose policies that shift the tax burden onto homeowners. I will support workforce training partnerships, protect access to affordable healthcare, and strengthen consumer and tenant protections so families can live with stability and opportunity.
