Saline County JP #9
County district officials are the ones who handle county business and look over rules and resolutions before they get passed, acting as the officers of the county quorum court. They handle things like, setting taxes, budgeting public money for county expenses, work with other counties, political groups, or even the U.S. government for any public reason, decide on certain HR functions of county staff (like salary amounts and # of workers), provide services related to county matters and managing county business.
Impartiality, strong communication and interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, analytical skills. In addition to knowledge of finances and budgeting, as well as Roberts Rules, and the law and how ordinances function.
I am deeply committed to community-focused leadership and advocacy in Saline County. I will prioritize hearing the voices of all residents and ensuring their concerns and aspirations are truly heard and represented. Our county has suspended the standard rules and restricted public voices in their process, I will first work to increase transparency and public input back into the process.
My dedication to affordability striving for every member of our community can thrive without financial strain. Working toward bringing goo paying jobs to the county and increased access to services.
Finally, prioritizing the creation of Saline County Animal Services in the coming year, it is long overdue, and it is time we move forward with a true plan.
