City Attorney Pine Bluff
The City Attorney provides legal advice and guidance to the Mayor, City Council, and department heads regarding procedures, policies, and programs. The City Attorney represents the City in both criminal and civil actions in district and circuit courts. The City Attorney manages a staff of attorneys, paralegal and administrative employees, who respond to citizen complaints and prosecute unlawful conduct.
I have practiced law for more than thirty years in areas of contract, property, employment and municipal law. I was employed as Assistant City Attorney gaining expertise in issues involving city departments, policy administration and ordinance implementation.
One of my first objectives will be to improve access to public services through the office of City Attorney. Provide online services such as complaint initiation, tracking, case information, and court proceedings.
A close second will be to develop a partnership with county employees to expedite processes for collecting revenues from tax delinquencies due to vacant or abandoned properties. It is imperative to foreclose and/ or quiet title to improve revenue streams and clear the city of eyesores that detract from growth.
