I am a citizen that cares enough to get involved and I whole-heartedly believe that is all the qualifications one needs to represent their district. I am a recent graduate of Texas A&M-Victoria with a bachelor's degree in communication. I have worked in my community to hold elected and appointed officials accountable, as well as advocate for resources for the underserved. I am looking to continue this work in the Texas House.
Texas should protect voting rights by expanding access while keeping elections secure. That means longer early‑voting hours, more polling locations, county‑wide voting centers, and restoring curbside voting. We should also modernize mail‑in voting with secure online applications and better ballot‑tracking, while protecting the right of seniors and voters with disabilities to vote by mail. Strong access and strong security can and should go hand in hand.
I support policies that ensure every Texas student has access to a strong public education, no matter what school choice options exist. That starts with fully funding public schools so districts can provide competitive teacher pay, smaller class sizes, updated instructional materials, and safe, well‑maintained campuses. I also support increasing resources for special education, bilingual and multilingual learners, and rural and underserved communities so all students receive the support they need.
The state should ensure every Texan has access to affordable, reliable health care. That includes expanding Medicaid, supporting rural hospitals and community clinics, and investing in mental‑health and preventive services. I also support efforts to lower prescription drug costs and improve maternal and child health. A healthier Texas starts with making care accessible in every community.
I would focus on bringing good‑paying jobs to underserved communities by investing in workforce training, expanding broadband and transportation infrastructure, and supporting small businesses. I also support targeted incentives for employers who hire locally and offer strong wages, along with strengthening public schools and community colleges to build a skilled workforce.
As a 5th generation rancher, I bring a unique set of skills that's tailored to help rural Texas. I have 3 degrees in diesel mechanics that help me take things apart and find the problem with them. I have worked as an operator in a chemical plant that helps me keep things flowing in the proper direction. I have helped plan the maintenance budget for the plant. I have also worked in the quality control lab for the plant ensuring the product meets the customer specs.
I think voter equipment should be standardized across the state allowing a person to vote early anywhere in the state, but on election day only in their county. People should be allowed to vote using a state issued id (even expired) with a picture on it.
We need to fully fund the public schools to ensure the school districts don't have to cut programs that help all students. If we could create a fund that could be self supporting to help pay for public education, that would be the best way to fund it.
By Texas funding rural medical facilities to keep them open and fully staffed, this helps promote a healthy population. Because the rising costs of health insurance is driving may people off of insurance, it's time for Texas to look at alternative ways for keeping people insured with affordable comprehensive coverage.
In my district, we are fortunate to have many diverse industries that pay well. I would ensure that current industry keep paying a living wage and their fair share of taxes. With most of the district being rural communities, I will seek to make sure that the market value of crops and livestock is sustainable for farmers and ranchers to ensure that they are able to keep family farms in business supporting our communities. I also strongly feel we need to be supporting our public schools so that secondary students are well prepared to enroll in college, trade school or directly enter the workforce to support our local families and economies.
