For over a decade, I worked as a bank executive at one of the nation’s largest financial institutions, managing millions of dollars, ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening internal controls, and safeguarding funds. I also served for 8 years on Missouri City Council, where I helped oversee budgets, authorize major contracts, and support long-term financial planning. I wish to earn the trust of Democratic voters and serve Fort Bend County as Treasurer—trusted, tested, and ready to serve.
The two most pressing issues are (1) modernizing the Treasurer’s office to responsibly adapt to new technology while preserving strong internal controls; and (2) proactively connecting the Treasurer’s office to all residents. My first two priorities will be conducting a comprehensive operational and technology review—examining payment processing, reconciliation timelines, reporting tools, and internal controls; and focusing on creative ways to ensure residents understand how public funds are collected, protected, invested, and disbursed. My combined financial expertise, public service, and NEXT LEVEL leadership is what I bring to the office.
I bring a rare combination of public-sector accountability, financial oversight, and executive leadership that uniquely qualifies me to serve as my party’s nominee for this office.
Professionally, I am a seasoned law enforcement supervisor with more than a decade of experience in government operations, internal controls, and compliance. In my current role, I oversee personnel manage
1. Financial Accountability and Transparency
A top priority is safeguarding public funds through strong oversight and transparency. I will strengthen internal controls, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and work closely with county partners to identify inefficiencies and prevent errors before they occur. Clear, accessible financial reporting will be a priority so taxpayers understand how their dollars are managed.
2. Modernization and Service Efficiency
Another pressing issue is modernizing financial operations to improve efficiency and customer service. I will support secure digital systems, streamlined processes, and ongoing staff training to reduce delays and improve accuracy.
With over 20 years of experience as a Banking Assistant Vice President/District Manager and Insurance Broker, I bring the professional discipline required to manage county's budget, maximize investment returns to lower the tax burden, snd implement socially responsible investment policies. I am not a career politician seeking a title; I am a seasoned financial professional ready to provide the stable, expert stewardship Fort Bend families deserve.
The two most pressing issues I will face are an inflationary budget strain and taxpayer fatigue from rising valuations. I will aggressively manage the county's investment porfolio by optimizing our cash flow ladder and seeking safe higher yield returns which will allow us to generate significant interest income. To address taxpayer fatigue and rising valuations I will partner with local CDFI banks that support small business to help offset the economic pressures on our residents. I will also launch countywide Financial Literacy Workshops to help residents understand how to protest their appraisals, apply for all elegible exemptions, and manage their household debt.
I bring a strong combination of government leadership, education, and community service. I held senior leadership roles in the county government, as Chief of Courts and Operations Manager overseeing operations, staff, and accountability. With a bachelor's in business and master’s in criminal justice, hands-on government experience, and years as a business owner and community leader, I am ready to serve the people and uphold the principle that government must work for the people and by the people
First, restoring public trust through transparency and accountability. Too many residents feel disconnected from how decisions are made and how public funds are managed. From day one, I will implement regular public reporting, open-door town halls, and clear communication so taxpayers know exactly how their money is being handled. Second, ensuring equitable and efficient service for every resident. Government services must work for everyone, regardless of background, language, or familiarity with the system. I will prioritize staff training, modernized processes, and community outreach to remove barriers, improve responsiveness and make the office accessible and respectful to all.
