You can’t fight for a community you’re never in. Too many politicians vanish after Election Day, but I’ll be present in neighborhoods, union halls, schools, and churches, listening and taking action. I’m running to fight for fair wages, safer streets, strong schools, and to give working families a voice in Austin. When I cast a vote on the senate floor, you’ll know it’s rooted in the conversations I’ve had with the people who sent me there.
Every tax dollar siphoned to private schools is a dollar stolen from our communities. I’ll fight to end vouchers and schemes that defund public schools. Our teachers deserve better pay, our kids deserve smaller classes, and every family, no matter their zip code, deserves a great public school. Public money must stay public so every child has a fair shot at success.
Climate disasters cost lives and billions. Texas can’t afford to sit still. We must invest in resilient power, water, and infrastructure to protect families and keep our economy strong. I’ll champion solutions that create good union jobs to modernize our grid, restore prairies and green spaces, and prepare communities for droughts, fires, and floods so Texas leads the way in meeting the climate challenge and building a safer, stronger future.
Healthcare must be affordable for every Texan. While Congress gutted Medicare and Medicaid earlier this year, Texas can and should step up. I’ll fight to expand Medicaid, fully fund rural hospitals, cap prescription costs, and hold insurers accountable so no Texan goes broke or dies because they can’t afford care in the richest country on earth.
The republican-led Tarrant County Commissioners Court decision to close over 100 polling locations for this very race is part of a long pattern of voter suppression in Texas. I’ll fight to reverse these closures, expand ballot by mail measures, and ensure poll workers and election administration have what they need to continue to protect our elections. Democracy works best when every eligible voter has an equal chance to be heard, not when politicians rig the rules to keep power.

As a Christian, wife, mother, and business professional, I’m driven to serve to preserve the liberties we’ve inherited. I’m running for Texas Senate because I’ve spent over thirty years fighting for conservative values, and it’s time to bring that fight to the Capitol. I plan to engage with my constituents in an open and transparent manner. The role of a State Senator is to be a public servant.
Every Texas child has a right to a quality education, and every teacher a fair wage. Parents have the right to choose the best path for their children. In SD9, two school districts risk TEA takeover. Those kids deserve better options! I support school choice that enables funds to follow the students to lift those kids out of failing schools. We must fully fund public schools and ensure money is spent wisely. A strong education system builds informed citizens and a better future for Texas.
The Texas Division of Emergency Management serves our citizens in time of disaster in cooperation with local cities, counties and other state agencies. The continued economic success of Texas depends upon the infrastructure that carries goods and commerce across our state and the police, fire, and EMS services that provide for the safety and security of our people. Reliable supply and distribution of electricity and water as well as roads, bridges, drainage, and flood control are paramount.
Texas has a shortage of medical professionals and not enough residency programs to meet projected demand. We need creative solutions both with the medical education system and the private sector to increase capability. Lowering costs and increasing access by legislation focused on price transparency for greater competition. When patients can see and understand their options, they can make better healthcare decisions for themselves and their families.
Texans deserve fair and trustworthy election system – one that makes it easy to vote and hard to cheat. Texans should expect to prove citizenship when they register, and show a photo ID when they vote. Voting locations should be accessible and convenient. Ballots should be counted promptly in an open and transparent method. Fulfilling these steps will ensure public trust in the process.
