If elected to a third term, my priorities will be to ensure our residents have a clear voice in local decision-making, to continue advocating for fair and reliable utility services, and to expand access to county- and state-level programs and resources for our community. I believe in listening to constituents first and foremost, and making sure that their needs are reflected in how we govern locally.
Like many small towns, our residents feel the strain of rising costs and high taxes. While there is no simple fix, I believe the most important thing we can do is be transparent about how money is spent, look for shared services where they make sense, and make sure every dollar goes as far as possible. I have made it a priority to ensure that residents feel heard, whether it’s a question about appliance disposal or a concern about the noise ordinance. I will continue to push for answers, keep people informed, and make sure that every voice matters in our community.
Consolidation is a very real issue for our town, especially when it comes to schools. Laurel Springs families are justifiably proud of our district’s high ratings, strong community feel, and the unique advantages our school provides. At the same time, I recognize that joining with neighboring districts could bring expanded opportunities, such as more arts and enrichment programs for our students. My role is not to push one outcome, but to make sure residents have all the information, to listen carefully to their concerns, and to represent their voices in any discussions. Ultimately, the decision belongs to the people of Laurel Springs, and I will honor that.
I would focus on making our town a place where both small businesses and residents feel supported. This means ensuring our infrastructure is reliable, promoting transparency in local government, and keeping residents engaged and informed about opportunities.
As the Director of Community Engagement, I have years of experience keeping residents informed and connected through diligent communication about meetings, events, and available resources. I have built a record of advocacy by writing to legislators, fighting for fair treatment from utility companies, and securing county-level benefits for our town. My centrist approach means I work for all residents, regardless of party or affiliation, and I base my decisions on the actual needs and votes of the community. Above all, I bring persistence, transparency, and a strong sense of duty to fight for anyone who asks for help.
