Term limits to bring fresh leadership. Reassess our town's "area in need of rehabilitation" status, which I believe enables overdevelopment. Restore the Gloucester Township MUA for local control and accountability.
Transparency. Our town has been strategically designed to keep the public unaware of what the government is doing and how they are spending our money. Simple things are run through private companies or quasi-government agencies allowing hidden agendas resulting in outcomes unpopular with the public because they had no input. Meetings are run in a manner to discourage public input. I would be sure to put the people of the town first, not donors to special interests.
I would start right here in Gloucester Township with our own Fire Districts. I propose consolidating Gloucester Township’s six Fire Districts to enhance safety and potentially reduce costs, with safety as the top priority. Firefighters I’ve spoken with support this change, but I believe a few leaders resist it for personal reasons. Many call this political suicide, which may explain why it’s never been done. However, my focus is on benefiting residents, not pursuing a political career.
To boost economic growth, I support targeted incentive areas, as outlined in my top priorities and key issues. Currently, a private group manages our Economic Development, holding closed meetings despite receiving taxpayer funds. Based on years of observation, I believe this group acts more as a gatekeeper than a true business development entity, leading to suboptimal outcomes for Gloucester Township.
For 25+ years, I’ve managed budgets twice Gloucester Township’s size with private funds. I owned a Christmas tree farm with international shipping and ran major events with 300K+ attendees, securing multi-million-dollar contracts. I led the 2024 sewer referendum (80% voter approval), serve on the GT Board of Education, and am a Rotarian. I collaborate across party lines for all residents. My GT Observer Podcast promotes transparency & education of public matters. I built a school in Jamaica for deaf children and pioneered launching axe throwing as a U.S. pastime. Before 40, I secured enough passive income to made work optional and now I chose to serve the public.
