COUNCIL: The Audubon Park Borough Council is the governing body of the municipality and is composed of 6 elected officials. They establish laws, ordinances, and policies for the municipality. An elected Council member serves a 3-year term. MAYOR: The Mayor serves as the head of the Audubon Park Borough Council, the governing body of the municipality. The Mayor and Council establish laws, ordinances, and policies for the municipality. The Mayor serves a 4-year term.
Working with our seniors in town, helping them get the services they need and working with our younger generation to make sure we are preserving our town for their future. And also our special needs in our town helping them get what they need. I would like to do focus groups with both our seniors and our younger adults and find out what issues are important to them. We live in a unique small town and would to take care of our senior but also bring our town into the future.
Right now it is finding new revenue. I would like to get a team together consisting of residents that are not on the borough council, local politicians, an engineer or two and have them work with our borough council to discuss different ways we could been revenue into our town and how we would go about it.
I am all for shared services and working with other municipalities. I feel this is definitely one way of keeping our cost down for our residents.
Working with our other council members, we would discuss what kind of businesses we would like and make a plan to pursue them. We live in a very small town that is actually owned by a corporation, so we need to find a good fit for our town. We do have a lot of land that isn't being used so maybe some kind of real estate or even solar panel farms.
I have always worked in public service. From being a shift manager at a Wawa while raising my children, to being assistant manager for Rite Aid. I have also worked for West Jersey hospital in Camden as an ER registrar before starting my career in special needs. I have been both a job coach and a job liaison for the Abilities Center of Southern NJ where a worked with special needs adults finding them jobs and helping them keep them. I had great relationships with human resources at Fort Dix and Mcquire Air Force base, New Lisbon development center and several companies in the burlington county area. I also worked in 3 high schools working with special needs seniors helping them to integrate into the work force.
